1. Or P body, P/J config, J neck. Hat trick
2.
Over-priced and over-rated dogshit. The only reason anyone would ever buy one over another brand is purely because they want a Fender in their hands. Even the US ones don't provide much over competing brands of a lower price point. All the CEO has to do is keep Fenders in the public eye and the jobs done. No need to worry about actually making instruments that sound, look and play better than other brands. People buy Cadillacs because they're cool cars. Not because they're better than BMW, Audi, Lexus or Mercedes. Nothing wrong with it of course; I'm just saying that these days in brand identity that gets the sales; not the product itself! Truckstop
All those millions of bass players duped
3. I always get the jitters looking at your photos. You have/have had some amazing basses. Sadly I have none of the trades you are looking for. Good luck.
4. I keep coming back to lust at this P!
5. No prob, it's a beautiful bass
6. The one I had made in 2001, had to sell in 2009, is still advertised (the rosewood board jazz with p/j). It was sold early July. I missed getting her back by a week Bit of a bugger when they are still advertising long after a bass is sold
7. Even with no trades this won't be here long
8. Who's running the book on this?
9. Cut down range of instruments, increased range of colours. I gig pretty much most weeks with one band or another, my Mexican FSR is my go to all the time. One of the best I've ever had. There have been a few I do hope Fender come out of this, but the thing that concerns me now is there must be literally billions of guitars in ownership and surely the market must be more difficult now, with decreasing numbers of players? I know some of us try to take up the slack , but surely it effects the "new" market?
10. Bit dodgy this. Mi dad (God rest) told me Honest John had retired in the late 50's. So is this blokey at it, or is it a 50's job
11. These are very tempting aren't they
12. Very nice GLWTS Karl.
13. Hi, nice bass. Just before the mods point it out to you, you need to leave a minimum of 36 hours between bumps. GLWTS Bump
14. Just such a massive improvement on what went before. So much so I have a daily look in on the site and Faecesbook. That 70's P is getting more and more tempting

So, tricky one this. I have bought three items from Bass Gear over the last couple of months. In all three cases, it has been Barrie who has sorted the deal and the gear. He has been bloody fantastic, sorting out good deals and getting them to me very quickly. Thanks for everything Barrie, you are a star! Your efforts to sort me out have been superb, as has been your patience with my windbag ramblings. All the best fella and no doubt speak soon, cheers, Karl,
16. My two. The Melt is just amazing in all ways. The headless stealth arrived yesterday, great sound, weighs nothing . My 1st venture into headless, don't think that's for me
17. Top geezer so you better get this bought sharp before I put my SEI headless up for sale to get this stunner. Any mistakes, apologies, doing this on mobile as home broadband down. sh*tty Virgin media
18. I could have sworn I got a pm, but it's vanished I'm sorted now, but good luck with the sale, looks a great neck.
19. Very easy deal, top fella to buy off. The gear was in far better condition than he had modestly claimed. Fully recommended, all the best Alan.
20.
I'm waiting for the run-down of how the actual gig turned out, in whch you go down a storm, meet some great folks and get signed for a 5-year record deal with a major, thanks to a passing mogul doing charity work himself. That's what's going to happen, isn't it..? Well, isn't it..?
Erm probably not but love the two guys chomping popcorn! How do I copy that then please Dad?

22. Gone thanks.
23. Bought this last Friday to put on my La Cabronita, which sold on Saturday So, its off a Mex Classic series 60s jazz which actually sell at about £700 new. Maple neck, rosewood board, gloss urethane finish, C shape, 34" scale, 7.25 radius, 20 vintage style frets, synthetic bone 1.5" nut, white dot inlays, vintage style slotted truss rod nut. The guy selling it had stripped the headstock and painted it matt black. This didn't matter to me as it was going on a black La Cabronita body. I would think it would strip but I'm not doing it. The truss rod works fine as do the tuners. The neck is not immaculate, there is a dint and a couple of lacquer bits gone. The black paint job is not the best in the world. None of this can be noticed from a couple of feet away. There is a lacquer crack on the back of the headstock, but that's all it is. The lacquer is a bit discoloured around it. All the noticeable bad bits are in the photo. Would this be a decent replacement for something like a P neck, yup, or I wouldn't have bought it. I am also including the waterslide decal in the photos. £70 collected from Wigan, £80 couriered mainland UK. Sorry, cleared cheque, cash on collection or bank transfer only. PLEASE read my feedback at bottom of post. Any questions please feel free. Sorry about the photos, cheers, Karl.
