  1. Vincent Crane. the whole of Arthur Browns first album had some great playing Alan price an awesome version of I put a spell on you great solo.
  2. One day I will get to come and see you
  3. You are a lucky fellow as you also have the fortune of playing with a rather fine tub thumper, and that bloke on guitar aint too shabby either.
  4. I played with an exceptionaly talented keyboard player for about ten years. Sadly no longer with us. I miss his playing and his vocals but I certainly dont miss carrying the bloody thing up flights of stairs.
  5. But what colour should they be, the red ones are always sound different to the sunbursts [2 and 3 tone] and do they match the performers clothes.
  6. It might have been happy jack a while ago who said treat your legs as a triangle and make sure you stand on both legs/feet equally. Made a difference to me. A trolley makes it easier and as you age you will have to compromise weight of your gear. You might like TE but its bloody heavy.
  7. We use an online program called Time Tree https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=3&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjS8PTr6abfAhWQ6qQKHdr7CskQFjACegQIChAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fplay.google.com%2Fstore%2Fapps%2Fdetails%3Fid%3Dworks.jubilee.timetree%26hl%3Den_GB&usg=AOvVaw2CF_rDLBFSJAazrTmd8tgm Ive only just joined the band but it seems to work ok
  8. You could consider an eden metro combo. Theres a was one on here for not much money, and one on Ebay> To my ears its pretty much the same sound wise. Heavy little so and so with two cast frame eden 10s in it. You could either use the combo as is or make a plywood sleeve and take the amp out of the combo
  9. I used my two c4s today for the first time in a rehearsal studio. I was really impressed
  10. Good luck. Ref your earlier post about response from Phil Jones themselves. When I bought my M500 and 8b a few years ago, I got some great advice from PJB most of it from the man himself. Recently I wanted to buy a new amp and a couple of speakers so I emailed a number of times about queries on specs all of which went un answered. I really like their stuff so I ordered blind. Hopefully all will work out ok.
  11. Im not sure how the land lies. You probably bought your suitcase through Synergy so see what they say.
  12. Phil jones has appointed a new didtributor Selectron which is a shame. I had great service from Alan at Synergy
  13. When I had my acoustic 450 i used to say to my band mates when they complained about my volume look its only on 1 and a half. I could turn it up to no 8 and it wouldnt get any louder.
  14. I am very shallow, and the yellow on Markbass always is a turn off.
  15. GAK had on their web site that they were not changing any prices for black friday.

    PJB C8

It is always difficult to try to compare because the venues, the loudness of the band and expectations are all different. Before the phil Jones I had an eden 450w traveller through an eden 2x10 and a 1x15 [along with various vintage acoustic amps] In this period I also had a fender 100w valve amp and 4x10 neo cabinet which I recently sold purely because of weight issues and bought a PJB D400 and 2 C47 cabs. All of these amps have been able to do what I want them to and I would have thought that the C8 would do what you want, The 8b is very easy to move, which was my orgnal reason for buying it, and as you say 2 C8s would be pretty awesome. You would need an amp that will handle down 2 ohms if you run 2 cabs because I think the c8s are 4 ohm.

    PJB C8

I have an 8b which is the predecessor of this. 8 x5 neos but only 400 watt power handling, [the C8 is 800W] . I have had it for about 7 or 8 years and regularly used it in a 3 piece in clubs and 4 piece in pubs. I have had a few people who were sceptical, and later complimentary about the sound . I think his stuff is great. Where are you?
  18. Phil is a great guy to deal with
