1. ha ha! i think that looks cool as flick but the heel for the bass is still in the same place. so even though you have access to a board that goes to the pickup, it wont be very comfortable!
2.
Red Planet Guitars.....the BG bass...be afraid.... It's the bridge that really frightens me !!!!
what a curious bass! about as heavy metal as a bass could look. but with a wooden bridge... and the high strings don't even come close to lining up with the pickup pole pieces! the lower ones aren't too close either..
3. it really is basically just a rackmount version with a mid control. if those are 2 features you want. then go for it. i used to have one, and kinda wish i didn't get rid of of it. 'cos it was fantastic.
4. aahhh, so you got it! i was watching that one. don't really know why i bothered though, it's not like i had any money... but you got it for quite a nice price in the end i think!
5. if i had £700 or any trade bait i'd have that right now! unfortunaly i have neither...
6. whereabouts in bristol are you? anywhere near a place called Tao Bar? (don't know Bristol at all sorry, so can't name a street or anythig.. were playing there on the 7th of febuary, and could really do with everything that hasn't been taken already (power leads, MIDI leads and mike leads).
7. although i suppose you did pay for it. so i guess it's only fair you see it before us...
8. i've got a shortscale acoustic fretless, great for noodling and doing big bends! love it
9. really pleased to see this has sold! it's lovely looking bass.
10. short top horn + large headstock = well... but other than that, it's a different, slightly odd looker. so i like it!
11. Anyone else heard one of the new Sky menus tunes? It's a pretty damn funky slap bass riff. i really like it, not too showy and nice deep tone. what does everybody else think of it? anyone know who dunnit?
12.
I tried the 5 string SymBass in a local shop here in west wales,it blew me away with it's tone and it was passive!!!1x bassline MM style pickup, the look takes getting used too,but once you try it you will be sold!!it has 19mm spacing and a wide neck with a thin profile from back to front,if you like the 6 string yamaha you have,i presume it's a TRB-6,then i think you will like it,B string was very strong!!but the whole balance of the tonal range on all strings was excellent,it wasn't cheap!!!and i nearly bought it,and still have my eye on it,hope this helps, all the best,J.
where abouts in W/Wales are you? and what shop was this?
13. I Shot the Sherrif. it's fantastic on every single possible level. words can't describe. it speaks for itself.
14. ha ha! did you tell the boss the reason for the day off? i can imagine that you: Sir, i need next wednesday off Boss: Sure, whats it for You: got a new bass coming in the post, want to spend the day drooling over it and taking photo's of it to put on the net cue conpletely baffled look from boss
15.
My rig doesn't look as cool as everyone else's, but, i'm sure it sounds as good
i used to own that exact peavey combo, in fact i still had it when i first owned my current rig. and i can say without a shadow of doubt that although it sounds great, it doesn't sound anywhere near as good as what i've got now!
16. YAY!!!! some more pikachurz ^_^ really like the Moses one, interesting that they feel the need to add that horn to it though. looks fugly and kinda defeats the purpouse surely? especially as they say they don't need it....
17. no thanks, neither one does anything for me really. and look pretty overpriced conidering the specs. but then of course they may play like butter and sing like a bird... (a large, fat bird, with lots of wollop)
18. i've had mine a while and have had a good ole poke around inside of it. and i've got to say the thing seems pretty damn sturdy and well made to me. but i guess no-one can get it right 100% of the time. and thats where customer care comes in
19.
No pictures til it's in my hands though.
awww

23. My band Renthouse Groove went into the studio on the weekend to lay down a couple of old songs and a new one for a decent new demo. the week before i'd put some steel roundwounds on my bass, for a bit of a change to the usual flatwounds. and although this was lovely for solo stuff. it just wasn't getting the sound i wanted for the band. the studio we used was one we recorded in around 5 years ago. and the guy there has a lovely all original '78 Jazz with a maple block and bound neck. and it's still the only Fender i've ever played that felt really good (others have felt nice, but never enough for me to go 'wow'), it was also the inspiriation for me getting blocks on my Shuker so i suggest breaking that out, and you know what? it sounded just as good as it felt/looked! so this is what i ended up using for the songs! so after 4 years being for the most part completely GAS free, i now crave the one thing i though i never would... a Fender! though there is a silver lining, in that i've played many, many Fenders. and this is so far the only one i've liked. so it's not a 'general' Fender GAS. phew! a couple of shot of me playing our new track Trip To Nowhere me? a poser?? never! The tracks should be finished in the next couple of weeks. and i'll be shure to share them with you all!
24. thank you very much i wrote both pieces for my music GCSE's, really need to write some new stuff!
25. "Its machine heads screws need replacing " uh... what? the screws that hold in the machine heads, the machine heads themselves?? either way, doesn't sounds very good to me...
