I also wanted to say that if anyone is at all wary of trading with NP becuase he's based in Finland then they needn't be.
Those pesky Finns - constantly emailing me telling me I’ve inherited a fortune I too have dealt with Ville and sold him a Smith 6 bass earlier this year. Great guy to deal with and would recommend him to anyone Paul -

<<< NOW SOLD>>> Sadowsky NYC Jazz 4 string, built in NYC in 1996. Really great condition with a couple of very minor dings and some very minor scuffs on outer edge of headstock. (these really are VERY minor marks) Maple board, superb unmarked neck. Cherry burst, although to me it has less cherry colouring than other examples I've seen and IMO looks more impressive. Quilted maple on Ash Sadowsky J pickups Black hardware Built in 1996 Vintage Tone Control fitted by The Gallery £1600 Sorry no trades on this one. I'm based in Harrow Middx. I have a very robust flight case for this bass and would be happy to send by courier, if required. I've not had this bass long - I bought it from Wayne58 at the time I was about to place an order for a 5 string custom bass which would have taken 9 months and I decided to buy this one to use in the mean time. As things turned out when placing the order there was a bass becoming available from stock which I decided to buy, which meant immediate payment and no nine month wait! that the only reason for this bass being sold. Here is a link to the original For Sale thread, with some comments from those that know this bass http://basschat.co.u...showtopic=50398
I keep finding myself being drawn back to this thread for another look. They're all amazing !! Time to thin down my herd maybe?
The logic in my thinking went like this: I’ve bought and sold a lot of basses over the last year or two and generally had five at any given time. I decided to think through what I really wanted and that was essentially a very well, made high end jazz, probably a five and with a vintage type tone and perhaps the extra versatility of a gentle pre. I considered and tried a number basses though felt a Coppolo might well fit the bill if only I could get to try one. When the Bass Merchant brought two back from NAMM I though now’s my chance to try one out. I just missed the boat as the jazz (now Birdy's) went to Bass guitar Magazine for review and they kept it there for 8 weeks!. When It came back and I got to play it, I decided a Coppolo was the one for me. So there you have it, I'm gonna run my Coppolo and one other bass. Two basses is plenty for me and in selling off other basses I will actually have less money tied up in gear, regardless of how expensive my current squeeze is
