3. Chelios, shipping to 'Nobody's Perfect' by any chance?? Anyway, I shipped a Smith 6 string to Finland a couple of months back, can't remember the weight/dimensions off hand, though in its hard case it was a pretty weighty and sizable package. I shipped by DHL road service and it was collected from me on Monday and delivered to the buyer in Finland on the Friday of that week. Pretty good going I thought. If you PM me I can give you more detail etc. P
I have read : http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=36625 and took recomendations. 5. Buginga5 bought a bass from me recently, in what was a really east transaction. Transfered the money straight away and was easy to communicate with. He let me know that the bass had arrived safe and well. Thanks Andrew

 10. Congrats Alan - I'm sure that will be ideal for you
 11. Someone suggested using this very service recently when I was selling my Smith. I had a look and then told them to jog on. Its not something I'd get involved in..
 12.
Very nice Paul - how's it sound?
There's a great range of tones available, Alan. I also like having the full passive option (with tone control) there a great sound there too.
 13. That's quick! Hopefully you'll do a review what you've had it a while Enjoy

 15. Had to Google that one - looks very good, when should you take delivery?
 16. The Bodygloove gig bags are very good and very protective. See Homer's post here for details: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...p;hl=bodygloove There fairly heavy for a gig bag
 17. I played this bass a while ago and it really is a beaut. The pictures don't really do it justice BTW. It just looks and feels like a real high quality instrument. What with the new U Retro installled, it's a bargain at the price. Gwil his a good guy to deal with too
 18.
You can send funds to someone via Paypal as a gift (or something like that), it is an option that the sender has and there are no fees incurred by either party... a public service announcement from WH!
I've used this method of payment a bit lately - do you know if there's a limit on the amount you can send as 'Gift'? Apologies for the temporary hijack..
 19. I believe this is a know problem with the MB150 combo or extention cab. I've certainly seen ads for these where the seller had bought a replacement casings and was including the old one, which he had had welded. I used to own one myself and never had a problem
 20.
Coupla reasons really - I joined a blues band a few weeks ago and they rehearse in a studio loft. This amp weighs 33lbs and by the time I get to the loft I'm gasping for air - when you're my age, that ain't funny and it doesn't impress the opposite sex. Second reason is - I went to see another blues band and the bassist was using an Ashdown Mag head into an Ashdown 4x10 and it sounded beautiful - perfect for blues. I want to hang on to my Spectors and I'm hoping a warmer, woolier amp will help get that fat bluesy sound I'm looking for. They sound very hi-fi through the GB rig. I've hopefully bought a suitable amp and will have enough money over to buy a decent combo - something I've wanted for a while really. Probably makes no sense to anyone else but then, I am strange.
Is there any chance that you can leave a cab in the loft? If there is it might be worth picking up a cheap one for practice and save yourself busting a gut every week
 21.
There's some great gear really shifting on BC recently
I was just thinking the same Joe, I seems that every day there's something else for sale that I'm really like to own...
