1. Thats just sinister
 2. Importing into the EU involves, obviously shipping costs ( high from the US to Europe) and also import duties and VAT around 20% coming into the UK, not sure how much it would have been into Spain. No taxes would apply on this bass coming from Spain to UK and courier costs are much less. Really think you should facter these costs into your calculation before accusing the seller of 'taking you for a mug'
http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.p...d+custom+series $1800 is about £1,100 - Which you paid for it 4 months back 1500 Euro (let lone the starting price of 1800 Euro) is about £1,340 It's a lovely Bass and Skjolds are superb I agree, I may be out of order but I like to think we fellow Bassists at least treat each other fair and square!!.... I love the Bass but do not particularly like being taken for mug without knowing it!! and I wouldn't like anyone else on here to be either!!!
3.
That's what I thought - just seemed a bit odd to have a selector rather than a blend knob?
Yes, its a three way pickup selector: 'Neck - Both - Bridge'
 4. All the usual suspects prowling here ! and one to two others via PM...
 5.
1400 quid?! Are you crazy?
'Tis the season of goodwill, after all
 6. <<<NOW SOLD>>> I bought this Celinder from Copenhagen based session guy, Batukarama earlier this year. I'm not playing fretless now hence the sale. Its a passive 4 string light weight bass with a thin jazz neck. I'll get some new photos up soon , for now I'll use the link to the original thread: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...amp;hl=celinder I'm selling for £1400 and am based in Harrow Middx
 7. Lovin that colour combination myself, surf green with rosewood board. Just bougbt a bass last week, otherwise I'd be very interested. Good luck with the sale
 8.
and sold at £906. . .
Could have had it for £795 of GumTree: http://www.gumtree.com/london/01/50882101.html
 9.
It's a bass concerto whenever he's on - I love it ! Every note is 'right' though (like Bernard Edwards from Chic) Chaka Khan was touring the UK recently with Lulu and someone else, can't remember, I wanted to go to the Liverpool showing but it was sold out. I wonder if Mr Gooch was on for that? If he was then, damn and blast - missed it! I hope us Basschatters can keep an eye on his touring schedule and give a 'heads up' if he sets foot on this isle! I'd love to see him live.
Yes, Mr Gouche was on the UK tour back in February. I was at the London Shepard's Bush gig - it was in the middle of the last big freeze up and it was touch and go whether it would go ahead, due to the travel restrictions. Great gig and great bass from Andrew. Molan was there too: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...8&hl=gouche

 11.
Hey Paul, I'm always bidding on stuff - I'm pretty good at setting my max price these days & not getting carried away with last minute bidding, lol. You must let us know how you get on with it
I was thinking of the AC on Talkbass as the other one that got away, shame it couldn't be shipped - they don't come around very often. Will post again once I've had a bit of time with the p bass. Perfect timing really, everybody in the house will toys to play with on Christmas day!
 12. I make that two basses you missed out on in 24 hours, Barrie
Nice one I got a batch of additional pics from the seller and it looked nice. I was only ever looking at it as an investment though (I generally find late '70's P's too heavy and/or chunky in neck profile). I actually thought £800 was a 'safe' investment price as I was budgeting maybe £200 to be sure of getting it up and running properly. However it may literally be a case of fitting some strings and you're away
13.
Oh yeah, please let us know how it turns out, very interested. Hope you have got yourself a good bass there
Thanks for the heads up on that p bass. I just arrived home with it - paid cash on collection as the seller was only about 5 miles from me. Looks good the Olympic White looks just that in reality, in the eBay photo its kinda looks more brillant white. Generally in good condition with a few dings, as you youw expect on a soon to be 32 year old. Don't really know much about old p basses and will no doupt be seeking advice from the Fender heads of Basschat. OK, time to stick a few strings on that mofo....
 14.
I chucked £750 at it but didn't win, lol. I reckoned it would kick around just over £1,000 after some work (depending on whether the pickup is original or not - owner said half of it was new & half original?).
I won it at £771 will be interesting to see how it turns out.....
 15. I know its been here posted before, however for anyone whose never seen it ... http://mediaweb.musicradio.com/Show.asx?Episode=1492
 16.
PMT in Southend
OK thanks - I'd like to try a few out for myself
 17. Nice Sandberg - where did you get it from?
 18.
JoeGarcia has one of his GS412s, don't think he'll part with it though.
Our Birdy has got his Olympic White Coppolo LG5
 19.

Looking good, Gavin
 20.
"Vigier in Andover rings a bell - did i buy a red Vigier guitar from you a few months back? " More than likely man,is that Ryan ?
Ha ha, it's Ryans dad actually. Absolutely stunning guitar - the look and build quality is first class and tone is righteous. Glad to catch up
 21.
That's true. Although some things seem to escape criticism on here - Aguilar, Epifani and Bergantino spring to mind. Are they as perfect as the reviews suggest or has anyone tried and not liked?
Maybe no criticism, though the Aguilar DB12's and GS112's are moved on all the time - one of the most often seen cabs in the For Sale forum.
 22. Looks ok to me, just be sure that the 2nd chance offer has come from eBay! I mean from an eBay message not an email from another source. That sort of thing used to happen when the bidders' id was available to all. Of course the winner could have been a shill bid - a 'friend' trying to push up the final sale price and hence the 2nd chance offer coming in stright away when he 'won'
 23. Vigier in Andover rings a bell - did i buy a red Vigier guitar from you a few months back?
 24. <<<Now Sold>>> Italia bass strap for sale. Its the Black/Crema one on here (the long version - adjusts 42 to 54 inches) 4" wide http://www.italiastraps.com/black-leather-guitar-strap.html The strap is brand new and has never been fitted to a bass. It woud be best used with strap locks or left fitted to a bass - its not the sort of thing you would twist on and off the bass pins as the ends are much more solid than say a comfort strapp. It cost me £75 to get mine sent from California, however as they had a 'buy one get one free' thingy going on I'm selling the second one I'm selling the strap for £32 inc P&P
