1. Only ever had a scam tried once, by some tube in Nigeria, it turned out. All else has been fine. Lovin' this one, at the moment: cheese Guitar
2. You need to get the pup routs correct on the Jazzes. That put me off buying one of your basses.

4. £65 for Ronnie Scott's?? F-off!
5. MUCH prefer the Bacchus!
6. ...but if you're going ahead with it, what are you gonna fill the holes with? Make sure you use something like Timbermate in rosewood, which is a decent wood putty. Addition: scrape off the putty with a Stanley blade and let it harden. You will then need to seal it.
7. You can scrape 'em out with a craft knife/scalpel but I'm with Luke on wondering why you wanna do this?
8. What is it with USA Craiglist? It's full of loonies in every category!
9.
...in the most depraved fashion.
Spill the beans..
10. Hmm... I had a VBT system in a Jazz a few years ago and I sacked it. Seems I had what Luke is referring to - a 50/50 pot in there and the swell of volume when turned towards the rear pup wasn't to my liking. I never really though about these mixes! Thanks for bringning this issue to the fore.
11. I like that, apart from the blocks. Bacchus do something similar, iirc.
12. Glad I spotted this. Got loadsa Jazzes but no JE gear. However, the P-bass build is gonna get the P-Retro!! Nice one, guys!

Sorted!

Have now decided to go for standard P-bass 'plate.
14. This deviates a little, but is still on subject of oddball guitarists. A guy bought a USA '62 RI in a shop up here many years ago. A day or so later he was back in with it, saying "..something isn't right with it!" The guitar-tech looked it over and could find nothing wrong with it. The guy kept on bringing it back in. The 'issues' began to range from weird howling sounds to speech and then radioactivity!! The shop said, since they found nothing was wrong with it, they could not order another, whereupon he said "Take it, then; I don't wan't it!" and just left it on the counter! The next day, he came back in with a bunch of MESA/GT valves and, again citing radioactivity, left them on the counter and disappeared forever.

Yeh, I saw that one but it's a 4-pot plate.
16. It's far enough removed from a Rick bass not to have JH jumping around like Zebedee. But, then again......

Normally a Jazz guy, I find I've got a P-bass knock-up on the go. The body is artic white and has no 'plate holes so I quite fancied putting the curvy. MM-like ABM plate. But at £37?? I don't think so! Anyone know of an alternative that's more reasonably priced?
18. Not without a price list, I won't!
19. Saw 'em in 88 at The Playhouse, Edinburgh. One of the best gigs I've ever attended! Wish I could catch this show. Codpiece action An idea who the guitarist is at 2:03 on the timeline?
20. WEM Dominator You'd think they'd know what this is. As for the pix....
21. Keep it as is and get Dan Atkinson to build you what you want.
22. Pickups sold; body and hardware still available as a unit.
23. Pups still on hold; body, bridge and controls now available again.
24. Neck now withdrawn from sale.
25. Ok, here's the Tom Petty for now. I have installed brown & gold TV knobs though I have retained the originals.
