1. I've owned a couple... One years ago in my first proper band, when I was very much new to pedals, distortion etc. I have no idea what became of it though! I bought a couple of years ago and it didn't really work for me, my tastes in distortion having moved on. Still, a great little pedal, very distinctive tone. Fond memories.
 2.
For me, I will have the opening piano bars of Bohemian Rhapsody. Queen wrote the song for the inauguration and unveiling of my birth and it stayed at number one in celebration of my arrival in the world. God (John Deacon) was looking over me.* *ok, I made that bit up. The song was at number one when I was born.
Brilliant
 3.
I waved....I didn't see you wave back! Stone broken were pretty good too eh?
Stone Broken... Didn't work for me I'm afraid. At all. A faster Nickelback. Still, they won over the crowd so must have been doing something right! Cheap Trick were utterly glorious however. Magnificent setlist too. I wish they'd sort the air con out in the Forum though...
 4.
Cheap Trick...TONIGHT at O2 Kentish town..can't wait!
Ditto
 5. Would you look at that! Congratulations both.
 6. Sold Alex my Boss LS-2 in response to his Wanted ad. No probs at all, quick at replying to comms and fast payment. A good'un!
 7. Well thanks to Amazon Prime I'll have a copy tomorrow, all for the grand sum of £3.72! Modern technology, ladies and gentlemen. Can't wait to read it again! Toneknob and Johnny Wishbone - many thanks!
 8.
This sounds like a book I picked up at a book fair a few years ago. I've literally just unpacked my books in the attic so I'll have a gander when I get home from work!
Cheers Johnny!
 9.
Is it this one? http://www.goodreads...strated-history I've got a previous edition, like this one on eBay: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rock-Music-The-Electric-Guitar-Fwd-by-Keith-Richard-/382105108937 (One of the other chapters is about the Parker Fly if that helps)
I think that's it! I googled it and the Flying V cover looks very familiar... £2.80 on Amazon to find out!
 10. I'm after a book I used to borrow obsessively from my local library just before I started playing - so we're talking 22 years ago It's a nice big hardback affair all about the history of the guitar - from memory just electrics but there may have been a more in-depth history of acoustics etc. at the front but I probably would have ignored that. I think each chapter was about a different instrument Now what I do remember vividly are the large double-spread pictures of the guitars in question which included the Rickenbacker 330/360, Fender Telecaster, Hofner Violin Bass, and the early single coil Precision. Each one had a little 'celebrity' comment - Keith Richards comparing his Tele to a plumber's wrench, Steve Harris patting himself on the arse when he needed more bottom. Possibly Bill Nelson talking about the Yamaha SG? Not sure if there were sections on technique and so on. It definitely isn't Tony Bacon's Ultimate Guitars book as I've already got that one. Bit of a long shot I know but does anyone know which book this is? It meant a lot to me when I was starting out and I would love to see it again!
 11. Welcome to another local chap! You've achieved much in a short time!
 12. Never heard of Schick... Sure it wasn't Schack? http://schack-guitars.de/
 13.
To the OP - Don't play anything, just get this guy play it. Some lovely rearranging going on. Look at his fingers! 😨 http://youtu.be/eT98yd84iCE
14. Visually, I think the mk2 is the sweetest but if I ever got to order one (!) it would be the mk1 - the extra frets are nice but I prefer to have that extra playing space. The mk3... Always looked a bit 'off' to me.
 15. Due to drop in the next month or so but still no sign online...
 16. Not sure about the colours but the checkerboard binding is amazing! I doubt we'll see any over here though. These special colours tend to be special orders by dealers in very limited numbers. There was an all-white version a while ago that was probably the most beautiful Rick ever... Unfortunately Jon Hall pretty much swore off doing any more as the white finish is very hard to get right apparently.
 17.
Stow on the Wold? Just down the road from me, never knew he'd lived there, thought they were all West London boys.
They were, but I think rock star country piles are a bit thin on the ground in Shepherd's Bush.
 18.
Biggest surprise for me were Mastadon who I did not expect to enjoy more than the standard fare. I had intended to see the beginning of their set and then head over to watch Suicidal Tendencies. Instead (despite of the sound) I watched the entire set and think the arrangement quirks would have held them in good stead at an All Tomorrows Parties festival, great stuff and I will try and catch these guys in their own right.
I saw Mastodon at an ATP a few years back, and yes, they went down a storm. It did help that it was the year curated by Melvins and Mike Patton!
 19. Classy! That blue with the maple neck is stunning.
 20.
Either that or my generation is just dumb. Blue
😉
 21.
Maybe it's my generation. In the early 70, you never even heard the term "neck dive", you just strap up and play. Blue
It's been 40 years, the laws of physics have changed considerably since then.
 22. Just... wow.
 23.
It will make a right mess of the foam if you remove the velcro at a later date. Be aware of that and resale value of the pedal. Bloomin' daft idea the foam isn't it?
I was going to fix my Sheehan pedal to the pedalboard today. In two minds now!
