  1. I'd counter that and say if it's the same price then buy it on Reverb as you'll have an extra layer of protection if anything goes sour, especiallyif that shop if abroad. Also, large businesses will have lesser rates than the private seller. Just my humble opinion!
  2. I've sold on Reverb and didn't face a set up fee... From memory the fee was 3.5% of the sold value of the item, plus PayPal usual 4% cut, so 7.5% total. Bear in mind that eBay (on a non £1 selling fee day) charge 10% plus 4% to PayPal so that's 14%. Makes Reverb 6.5% cheaper! The downside is that it can take time to sell on Reverb, it's like having you're own virtual shop, whereas eBay is an auction and you can choose to run your item for 3, 5, 7 or 10 days. Also, those who complain about fees should look at what a live auction charges! Often a 15% or more sellers fee as well as a 20% buyers premium. So I'm not one to complain about paying fees for a service I'm chasing to using!
  3. it looks like a power amp to me!!! Your ad says pre amp, this is what I mean.
  4. Anyone want this? Never going to use it, been in the shed for years! It's your basic rainbow 🌈 material strap, nowt fancy, does the job, pretty basic, but functional! Perfectly good condition and perfectly useable! Free to Anyone who wants it, happy to post for free to so long as you pass on a minor good deed to someone at some point! Russ.
  5. Excellent bass Harry. Would love to own this... as per the standard situation of most, funds don't permit the purchase. But this is a real killer.
  6. Is this not a power amp as opposed to a pre amp as you've mentioned?
  7. At best I think you could get it to 16.5 looking at the neck, but to be honest I have a 16mm Tanglewood Baron 6 prototype at 16mm and it's fantastic to play. An hour or twos worth of play and it feels quite natural. If I was a 5 man, I'd have this off you.
  8. £200 is a steal. These are quite underrated basses...
  9. It is in fact Cubase AI 10.5 that I now have. What an absolute pain in the bum 'ole to install! 3 different 32 character codes later... but it's done... I'm certain I could resolve the Reaper crash issues by digging a bit, but Cubase AI came free with my Steinberg UR44 and comes with a very expansive VST with most things you could need (for now) in it, so I'm keen to at least take a proper look at Cubase and thus take advantage of their powerful internal VSTs before I go back to Reaper. Still climbing that big old learning curve at the moment! But at least all my hardware and software seem to work as they should! And I treated myself to a rather tasty PRS Custom 22 to record bítch fiddle, I mean guitar, with!
  10. I've been using Reaper for a few weeks, I'm going to make the move to Cubase LE now as I'm struggling to run everything I want in Reaper without it crashing... It's great for being free, but comes with a few issues. Let's see how Cubase does!
  11. @Tyler Owens-Peters, is that picture actually a joke? If so, bravo! If not... then... well... 🤔

Larry bought a Roland Looper off of me, the deal was done and payment received 15 minutes after I posted the ad, so certainly no complaints! All round good guy to deal with! Another credit to basschat!
  13. I think @ped is aware of that, but I can also attest that the "10% Discount" for basschst users is far from 10%! My €53 payment was discounted by less that €3 a few days ago!
  14. Eurosender accept parcels much bigger that 120cm... I've just had a parcel collected to go to Germany fully insured for £1000 and it was 135cm x 55cm x 20cm and it cost £49. Not sure how @kodiakblair got it for £29 considering the £1000 insurance cover is £16 on its own!

@Kevin Dean can I have your white B-Social? I have a black one and a wood one, I feel unnecessarily compelled to own one in each finish!
  16. @flaviusm, you have now helped me a little more as I have 'stolen' the spec list from your original ad! 😁
  17. Wrong post sorry! (Removed my message!)
  18. Afternoon all, (Only for sale now!) I'm tentatively putting up for sale my fantastic Warwick Streamer Stage 1 6 string bass in natural oil finish, the list price on this according to the Warwick website is €6,689 (or £5,989 if you prefer!) I'm asking £1450 ONO. The bass is overall in excellent condition, it has a few minor signs of play but nothing major. It does have 3 pin prick size holes on the edge of the bottom of the lower bout from a loose staple in a case it was sent to me in, but this is well hidden on the bottom side of the bass and could be easily filled should you so wish. Aside from the the bass is superb. (See final picture below). It plays exceptionally well with a lovely low action and a fantastic neck, you get the typical Warwick growl as well as a wealth of other tones. It has the 20mm spacing 'broadneck' as is standard on 6 string streamer stage 1 basses. It weights 5.4kg and has a standard 34" scale. The solid maple wings have a lovely 3D effect and the wenge fretboard is a joy to play. I'm based in Basildon, Essex. It can be posted or collected. If posted, I don't have a hard case, so either you'll need to send me one of yours to ship it in, or we can discuss options via PM. Some specs: - flame maple body, oil/wax finish - flame maple / bubinga NT neck (with volute 😎), oil/wax finish - wenge fretboard - Warwick “Made in West Germany” machine heads - brass bridge - 20 mm string spacing - brass just-a-nut 1 (if I am right, 1998 was the last year when they put this kind of nut on basses) - Dunlop Straplock Flush Mount - Basslines (Seymour Duncan) pickups - MEC preamp (3 eq, 18 V) - new jack plug Any questions, let me know! Russ.
  19. Hey, Has anyone got Helix Native running? Would you recommend it for the £99 discounted price for Helix hardware owners? Seems like a good deal of 'bang for buck'. Any feedback would be appreciated! Russ.
  20. Evening all, I recently purchased this pedal from @ikay, it is in absolutely flawless condition with the full box, paperwork, instructions and most importantly the plastic internal bag! Oh, and the Pedal too... I bought it as I found the internal looper on the Line6 Helix LT to be extremely limiting, this pedal is far from limiting! 99 patches, 3 hours of recording time, up to 99 overdubs per patch, backing drums, and importantly for me, the auto start function so the loop start when you hit the first note. Very handy. The reason why I'm selling is that I've now set up a home studio (which this little pedal was the inspiration for...) so the RC-3 is now redundant and I quite fancy buying the Helix Native VST which the sale of this should mostly fund. Asking £85 with delivery included. Any questions, please ask!
  21. I shall give it a try sirs! Great suggestions so far!
  22. Another item bought from Alan, excellent service all round! Really great guy to deal with! Top marks sir.
  23. Many thanks good sir! That brings my VST count to just under 80... not quite your 5000+, but it's day 1 and it's a start! :)
