    Hi, I'm expecting a rather expensive delivery from a Reverb purchase and after reviewing the tracking details I can see that the status is showing as 'shortlanded'. Having Googled this term it appears it means either the parcel did not disembark the vessel at the port of arrival or that the parcel wasn't on the vessel or couldn't be found aboard the vessel to be disembarked. So not a good thing in any event... Does anyone have any experience with having had a parcel 'shortlanded'? If so, what was the resolution? I've contacted the seller and the courier, SkyNet (never heard of SkyNet apart from in reference to The Terminator!). So hopefully I'll hear something back soon, but if anyone has any advice/experience with 'Shortlanded' parcels, please let me know! Russ.

    This is a proper steal in my humble opinion! I used to have the bass version, yes they are a little dated, but at £175 with the pickup and delivery, this is a very good price!     My very first bass was literally 100% covered in stickers... and when I say 100%, I mean it. The fretboard was stickered, the pickups, the back of the neck, the headstock, literally everywhere!! It made it play HORRIBLY but with me being 14 at the time it looked freakin' cool! These days, I HATE stickers on instruments... drives me crazy when I buy a bass/guitar that's been stickered mostly because the removal of said stickers is such a pain in the arsé! Though I have recently realised that hand sanitizer removes sticker glue very nicely!

    Never heard of Jimmywood... I understand it is a blend of Dalbergia nigra and Dalbergia spruceana (Amazon Rosewood) should anyone wish to know! Which would make it CITIES exempt. 👍

    Alan builds some outstanding basses/guitars. I've owned 5 or 6 over the years and currently have 2 (soon to be 3!) that will never leave me. Honestly ACG are some of the very finest basses you will ever play, even if you payed 4 times the price for certain NY built basses! Whoever buys this will undoubtedly be a happy bunny!

    @Deeper and down Check out the feedback thread, if the buyer/seller has good positive feedback from others on the site, then you know you're in safe hands. Otherwise, if you're uncertain, then try and collect with cash or pay via PayPal good payments and know that the 4% is your payment for a safety net if things goes sideways. Also, check out the buyer/sellers profile, see if they are active members that contribute to threads regularly, if so, again you're probably in safe hands, if the buyer/seller is brand new to the site, maybe try and talk to them via PM, get a vibe for who they are and if they know the gear they're buying/selling. If ANYTHING smells fishy, abort! Or, at the VERY least, use PayPal goods and pay the 4% for that important safety net! Thems be my advice!

    Hi all, So having recently been in the market for a high end guitar, I strangely found myself in possession of two USA PRS beauties. I decided to move one on and see what other interesting beasts are out there and after heavily debating a Reiver Kompakt 6, and doing some googling on the subject, I came upon a Reiver Kompakt T7, I couldn't resist so I bought it and now it's currently on it's way to me from the Dolomite Mountains! Can't wait to play this monster, it looks absolutely exceptional. I've owned a number of ACG basses, and currently have 2 that I'll be keeping until I die, so knowing the quality of Alan's work, this is sure to be an amazing instrument!

    Hi all, I have a Dunlop Bass Wah 105Q that's no longer needed, the battery lid 'clip' has unfortunately snapped, but other than that it works exactly as it should. It has been used so has a few marks etc but at £59 with postage included I think that's fair. These are £120 new so save yourself over £50 and take mine! Or £65 if you collect from Basildon!

    Hi all, I recently have found myself in the odd position of having no PRS last week and now having 2 PRS this week... not a bad thing, but I only 'need' one! So, for sale is this rather lovely USA PRS Standard 22, it has a full mahogany body with a gloss black finish, complete with birds inlay. Very good condition, 9/10. Comes with hard case, hang tag, spare tremolo springs and truss tool. Even has the original $2850 price tag in the case! Any questions, please ask!

    Hi all, I'm debating selling this absolutely exceptional Rainsong JM1000 Electro-Acoustic. These retail at around £3000, it's a fantastic beast and weights less than 2kg!! It is very loud, resonant, light, articulate, everything you could possibly want in an acoustic. It has a few light scratches but nothing major, 9/10 in condition I'd say. It will come with a tatty but function hardcase. It really is a stunning thing and the top end Fishman Prefix Plus-T preamp gives it a beautiful 'plugged in' voice. The rosette is solid inlayed Abalone and really offsets the carbon fibre body. Utterly beautiful in my opinion! I can post is needed, but collection is preferable. Any questions, please ask!
