  1. Strymon build absolutely superb pedals. However, it really depends on what you want to do with your effects. Are you REALLY going to utilise a Big Sky to it's full potential? My favourite Reverb pedal of all time is the Rocktron Cyborg Digital Reverb, I bought one for £20 from here years ago and it is superb. Only sold it as I bought a Helix. Have you considered a Helix LT? Reckon you can get one for £500 second hand if you find the right deal. I have one and the Reverb and Delay facilities it has are fantastic and hugely expressive.
  2. 1 schekle. Take it or leave it.
  3. Probably the wrong place for that here. We be simple bassist folk sir. eBay or Reverb might be a better option for that kind of market.
  4. Just bought a Looper from Mr Ikay, arrived very promptly and communication was spot on! More than happy to deal with again, another fine upstanding member of Basschat!
  5. Probably mostly those who are roadies or forklifts! 😂
  6. Anything more than a 4x10 is a hard sell these days, hence 8x10s often going cheap because no one has an Alumantium spine!
  7. I can attach some helium balloons to it for you?
  8. Hi, Up for sale is my recently acquired Yamaha BB414 bass is White. We all know these are superb basses, this one is no different. Firstly, the truss head is pretty much threaded, so unless you have one of those very handed Allen Keys designed for threaded tips, it is difficult to adjust. Hence the £120 price. However... the action is low and the neck is straight, the action is 2mm under the 12th fret on the E, so it is exactly where 90% of people would want it! No crackles at all from the electronics, it plays perfectly and sounds great. I am a man that prefers very low action, and frankly I wouldn't change the currently set up even if the truss tip wasn't threaded. It has a few minor knocks (see photos) but overall is a fantastic bass for the money, low action, straight neck, perfect electronics etc. Collection from Basildon, Essex or I can post for £15 (though this will be UNINSURED and st your risk, unless you want to pay more for insured post). Any questions, please ask! Russ.
  9. I've been having a playing with my Helix LT and for all it's excellent bells and whistles, does anyone else find the looper to be somewhat lacking? Unless I'm not using it properly, there is no 'auto start' function and you can't save a loop other than storing one single looping session as part of a created effects bank, and even then it disappears when you shut down the system. I mean it does 'loop' but I can't help but feel they could of made it substantially better without really any extra cost! Anyone else not vibing the looper on the Helix? Russ.
  10. £350 is a steal... The Bass Gallery has one for £1079! Wish I had a use for it!
  11. Overwaters are like a poor mans Wal, except they're just as good! I've had 3 Overwaters (still have the 7!) and they are all exceptionally good instruments, fantastic build quality and sound unique and fabulous.
  12. @snorkie635 it was all a long con for me to get the bass! You see I stole the Docs Delorean, went back in time, hypnotized you into ordering the bass and subtlety used the 'inception' technique to see the bass flow from person so person until it landed with @ambient who was then in turn hypnotized into selling it to me. Someone better not hypnotize me into selling it... 🤔
  13. @4000 RSN are my initials, a bit 'indulgent' to call it my Signature Bee, but I wanted something absolutely and irrefutably mine. And Binky, he was one of the first Characters Matt Groening was known for as part of a comic strip called 'Life In Hell' prior to The Simpsons. When I was younger I used to doodle Binky on anything I could doodle on. Also, the very first introduction to The Simpsons, as a short sketch, was aired on the day I was born. So a few tie-ins their. I think Matt is actually aware of Binky's existence... no phone calls to appear on The Simpsons yet though! 😂
  14. He is based in the states, but I can't imagine the import/shipping being prohibitively expensive. Fantastic work though.
  15. Roger made the Bunny tuners for Binky, the Maple/Buckeye/Abalone knobs and the truss rod cover. All unbelievably good work... I think the cost was $450 dollars (I think) for 6 knobs, 10 tuners and the truss cover. For inlay work, Bill Nichols is utterly superb. His work is incredibly detailed and flawless. The 1 foot tall Binky inlay is a masterpiece.
  16. It has to be a world endingly spectacular deal for me to buy new, the Mesa Rig for example was such a deal. Or a custom bass of which I've had 2 made. Other than that I only ever buy/trade second hand gear. To be fair Binky himself is worth a mention, I paid for that at the time when it was fractionally over $2 to the pound, all in Binky came to a shade under £3000, which is pennies on what he would cost to have made today. With all the work on the inlay courtesy of Bill Nichols and the truss cover and knobs by Roger at THG Knobs as well as Carey Nordstrand himself winding the pickups, the 'new' cost today for a Binky replica would absolutely be a fair bit north of $10,000, not to mention the increase in shipping and taxes because of it. Long live the Bink!
  17. 10 lashes for sounding like a creepy uncle... 😂
  18. Crap... that was clearly meant for @Newfoundfreedom... 10 self-lashes for me. 😬
  19. 10 lashes for @Woodinblack. I believe that's the correct number of lashes for commenting on the wrong thread. 🤔
  20. Perfect, send me the 6 string and we'll share the job of burying the evidence!
  21. I have indeed sir, it is on eBay too... I have already messaged him to discuss, but I am only a trader as I simply don't have £7000 spare!
  22. Realistically, that KL6 of yours is probably the ONLY bass in this good world that I would even consider trading/selling my Conklin USA 8 for. For me, that says it all! Definitely no sale/trade then? Perhaps a pair of De Gier Elevation 6 basses? 2 for 1!
  23. Tell me where you live, I'll come cut your fingers off so you have to stop playing, then you can sell the 6 string to me!
