bought a pair of AKG K702 Headphones and a Focusrite 2i2, both in excellent condition, both arrived very quickly! Another trustworthy member of the bass basschat community!

eBay massively favours the buyer. If you sold the flight case, and he came to inspect, and for whatever reason decided not to buy (or in your case returned 5 minutes later) eBay will absolutely side with him. When being paid by PayPal the buyer has the right to returns even if you state 'no returns'. Same rights as a buyer purchasing from a shop. The plus side here is that he probably thought he got the steal of the century, I mean a flight case with a Markbass 4x10 for £100? THAT is a great deal! His idiocy of not reading the full ad will likely be a lesson learnt for him. You did nothing wrong, he just didn't read the advert. Happens I'm afraid! Maybe take photos without the cab just so no foolish fool can make the same mistake!

NRD (New Rig Day) Mesa Boogie Strategy & Two Mesa 4x10 Cabs.
binky_bass replied to binky_bass's topic in Amps and Cabs
I think Mesa just built out cabs from what they have lying around! One of my cabs has a switchable crossover and tweeter dial, the other just has the tweeter dial, plus I can't see in the catalogue any that were with the silver/tan grille, I suspect the silver/tab grille one was perhaps a custom order that didn't come to fruition. -
Once you've successfully sold a bass abroad, that trepidation will pass. I've sold more basses than I remember to those overseas, Mostly to Europe, but some to USA, Brazil, Russia (Russia was a concern as they have a habit of 'losing' large private parcels from the UK). But all have arrived with no issue. If you follow the basic rules (insurance, packaging, money clearing etc) then you'll be fine.

Evening, I'm debating putting together a little home studio and I have no idea really where to start... I don't have much knowledge in this area, and I'd appreciate some guidance on a half-decent (but relatively budget) set up. I am starting from absolute scratch and have a clean slate to start from. What do I need? What's good? I only have a small space to work with so please bear that in mind! Treat me as an absolute newbie. Thanks in advance! Russ.

I have a Hartke... Currently serving as a garden potting table. (Disclaimer: It was utterly beyond any kind or repair! All speakers ruined and the chassis riddled with damp and mould.)

I make sure the bass is broken before sending... that way there's no surprises.

So, I've been trawling eBay to see what 6 string basses are on offer and came across these... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/153818811958 £6 for a set of 6 strings for bass... I have no doubt whatsoever that they will very likely be utterly unusable and terrible, but the bargain hunter in me is too curious, I have bought a set and will update once they're delivered. £6... they can't possibly be good, can they?? 🤔

Helix Floor/LT/HX/Stomp/PodGo owners' Club - Tips, Ideas & Patches
binky_bass replied to Al Krow's topic in Effects
Took delivery of a pre-owned Boss RC-3 yesterday, definitely solves the Helix's poor excuse for a looper. -
Eurosender. Myself and @Hellzero have sent probably 50+ basses from the UK to Belgium and vice versa. PayPal works, they'll charge a fee though, so work that out with the buyer to ensure you know what you'll actually end up with. International bank transfers work to, you'll need to get your IBAN number, usually available somewhere in your online banking. Again, they'll charge a fee and you need to be sure on what exchange rate your bank is using as they often use their own rates. A hard case is almost essential. Or some EXTREMELY robust packing. Be sure to insure! I've only had one issue and thank god it was insured! Follow your common sense and you'll be fine!
