I've been a member there longer than I have here but probably only have about 20 posts to my name. I find it a bit clicky if you don't have a) an old Fender or an exotic US made custom bass (this of course is my perception). They are definitely very easily offended and have little sense of humour.

I had this happen on my 55-02 last week, just shoved a bit of cardboard in the hole and tightened the screw back in.. tighter than a really tight thing.

Any Wish Bass... although I suppose they aren't really popular .

Before I got my Yamaha RBX775 I wanted an EDA905, when I did try the Ibanez I found the sound too modern and a little brittle for my liking. You may find it hard to get traditional sounds from it due to the non-wood body, single pickup and piezo. The only thing you can really do is experiment with your hand positioning and EQ, if you can't get the sound you want after doing that then i'm afraid it can't be done .

It's that cooker that's getting me hot under the collar. Think of how many pots and pans you can have on the go ! It also seems to have an Ashdown style VU meter .

I had a 5 string version when I first started and it was ok. For £80 you can't go wrong but don't expect it to play or sound great !

I demo'd one at Bass Day UK on the Bass Direct stand with the exact setup you are thinking of. It had an amazingly full tone for what's quite a small rig ! It VERY expensive however, and unless size is your major turning point then you may be ok with what you have. We had lots of people try it out and I don't think anyone wasn't impressed by it. Urb spent a lot more time on it than me - if he pops online and see's this i'm sure he'll comment . My only major gripe was the fact the volume control was on the back of the cab.. not easy to adjust on the fly. However it doesn't matter how much any of us praise it - you need to get down to Leamington and try it out .

It's ok I have a Skyline 55-02 and know what quality to expect, i'm really not snobby about where something is made anymore.

I love the sound of that 50's one, the only thing that puts me off is the colour.

Don't like the Butterscotch as much and don't like the Sonic Blue at all... how much are these Skyline versions anyway ?

I've had similar - when I got my ABM it was missing a screw cap, offered to buy one but they sent it out. When my valve stage failed they sent me a new pot for it without a further thought. Now let's not have it be said that i'm some kind of Ashdown fan boy because it isn't true !

I've tried a couple of Jaguar basses in shops and encountered this same issue - I think it's flawed by design.

I've quietly been admiring the Decade - it does look reasonably original which isn't a common occurance nowadays ! I think it looks fantastic in that finish, can't think what it'd look better in either. Nice cooker too .

As above really, if it didn't sound overdriven then it wasn't a problem. I run my Skyline into my ABM under the passive option, gives greater sensitivity to any changes I make.

You must have the most infamous bass on here ! Don't you dare ever sell it or you don't know how much trouble we'll give you .
