1.
If you can drive up to Rusholme (5 minutes up Oxford Road travelling out of the city centre - less than a 20 minute walk), you'll find some of the UK's finest Asian restaurants...
Sod that - there are so many cheap buses down that road it'd be silly to drive.
2. Useful page here... http://www.rncm.ac.uk/content/view/41/93/
3. They were bought out mostly by Reverb (Arbiter I believe), who are now the UK stockists for Spector. http://www.arbiter.co.uk/uk_dealers/uk_dea...spectorbass.htm
4. Check this out... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=220301716316 He says he paid over £1k for it, ouch ! and if you look at this http://www.soundslive.co.uk/product~name~A...mbo~ID~8592.asp He's going to be very disappointed.
5. Nice - a white pearloid pickguard and it's perfect.
6. I expect the little combo will be wired to the internal speaker internally, so you can't just unplug the speaker and have it get power from another source. Might be a bit of a DIY jobby but I can see it being fairly straight forward. That said - the Marshall would rip it to pieces since it's 450w 2ohm with ext cab - and the poor little combo wouldn't cope.
7. I love these basses.. keep it .
8. Hmm does look a bit fishy, this is the redangel's only post despite being registered several months.
9. I don't want to know how much that cost .
10. Hmm, personally i'd go for the Jap/US one unless you're on a budget. And you can get deadspots on any wooden necked bass regardless of it's cost... my old Stingray had one just as much as my Mexi Jazz does.
11. I'll admit I don't miss having it around.
12. Just had my ABM repaired by Pacific Sound & Light on recommendation from here. Free quote and extremely fast service (3 days including a Sunday !). Superb communication from them and no nonsense, anyone in the Birmingham area should go here for any gripes.
13. Bookmarked that article for reading when I have a little more time to soak it up - cheers .
14. Just found this in a random google search... http://www.clivebutton.com/products.htm Interesting.. I thought Mark Gooday was meant to have done it ?!
15. It's all UK made now which probably accounts for the cost. I think they're pretty good, but certainly wouldn't pay that much for them - there's a lot of other things around the same pricemark which I prefer.
16. It seems the staff's job is to attempt to annoy customers and lose business, a very unique and original business model for sure .
17. Oh how I love this forum..
18. Same as mine ! . I like that it's wider than normal looks best to me when the head is as wide as the cab.
19. Got it yet ?!
20. I was at Bass Direct when birdy picked this up - amazing looking instrument and sounded so fantastic. I think it looks a lot pinker in person than the pic shows..
21. There's 2 speaker outputs . Both SpeakOn connectors rather than standard jack, your MAG cabs will have both available. http://www.ashdownmusic.com/bass/detail.as...n=abm&ID=55
22. I'm definitely voting "if it isn't broke - dont fix it".
23. Wanna swap for a Fender Jazz ?! On a serious note, this is my old bass and it was fantastic, someone buy it please .
24. Welcome to the forum !
