Luke - I nearly went for that Bacchus after it was offered for my Ray - went for the Lakland 55-02 in the end since I already have a Jazz. How's it sound ?

I find mine to work fairly well, if it does clip then I do hear distortion. I try and make sure the hardest I can play a note will just about be under +2dB. Of course it all changes as soon as I change any EQ settings on the head or my bass.

I use mine quite a lot. Like people have already said - you change it between songs when some need the presence and some just want to be some solid fundamental.

Where are you from ?! You'll have to be a bit more indepth that that ! Tell us about your gear !

It'll end up being about 20% more than what you expected when you add in VAT and the handling charge. Plus any problems and you'll have a major pain in the rear to content with trying to send it back..

Were the EMG pickups active (seperate to the preamp) ? If so then it could be an issue for the preamp, if not then go for it.

I've so far been underwhelmed by Shuker basses. Sure - they're nicely made and sound nice but I just can't get excited about them at all. Lots of people are obsessed with them on here, and i'm really not understanding them. I suppose the same can be said for some other UK custom makers so it isn't just Shuker..

I need to get it running through a 'clean' cab and see how different it is.

Yeah thinking about it they probably are 2 x jack. My EB180 was like so and the only differences between that and the MAG are the power stage and colour of paint.

Nice soft tone.. think Sting and you're close ! You may find you might not need to replace the pickup - try one with an open mind that they might be sounding good already ! I know the Squier Telebass sounds fantastic as it is.

I've probably posted already on here but oh well.. Please note you won't ever see me smile again.. this was on honeymoon and it was 38C and I had a cold beer .
