  1. Yeah, skipping back through it, it's Fender focused. It covers the behind-the-scenes stuff which led to the split with Leo and a bit of what went on afterwards. Because it's just as much about the business side of it than the instruments, I can see why some might see it a bit dry... but I like it for the same reasons.
  2. Did you read the book yet?
  3. Lovely.
  4. I'm not familiar with Elements, but I would have thought that dropping another clip in would be pretty fundamental functionality? This YouTube clip suggests so...?
  5. Andy Baxter has a CAR one in for a (vaguely) more reasonable price: https://www.andybaxterbass.com/products/1981-fender-precision-special-candy-apple-red?_pos=1&_sid=11677bf84&_ss=r I had one of the lovely all-walnut ones back in the day. One thing which seems to be common to all of these - when they're not being gigged, they can also used as anchor points for commercial airships.
  6. Ah.. sorry, yes. I didn't actually know there was an Elements version!
  7. No cutting necessary - it’ll just sync ‘em all up on your timeline and you can trim from there.
  8. Is there any ambient audio on the video clip? If so: highlight the video and audio > right-click > synchronise.
  9. Don't get me wrong, I adore Ella. I'm just less keen on people playing bass over Ella.
  10. Well, I guess people had to find something to do during lockdown...
  11. There's no magic combination - any P will growl differently (or maybe not at all) to another...
  12. Keep looking - you'll find one eventually...
  13. There's great Precisions too :-)
  14. IMO instead of desperately announcing big product launches for a redesigned pickup, Fender should just keep it simple. The line should consist of a 60s P, 70s P and a Modern P, in a big variety of colours, with special editions every now and then. Bob's your uncle.
  15. It was painful.
  16. Assuming you're talking about classic 60/70s Fender tort... you're out of luck. Spitfire do the closest repros I've seen, and the most expensive, but (IMO) they're not quite there.
  17. Yeah, inspired by what was going on in Vietnam.
  18. Is it? Gates of Delirium is..?
  19. Don't think of them as words. They're just a flow of consciousness. Or something.
  20. A Curious Feeling is a lovely album, let down a little by the production.
  21. Gah! It's all wrong!
  22. Ba-dum... tish!
  23. Yeah... maybe save that one until February 31st.
  24. Yep, loads of Yes songs are like that. Long Distance Runaround always sounded a bit twee to me, for example... but when the penny drops... Give South Side of the Sky a bit of time - it's worth the effort. Excellent progress. Close to the Edge, Awaken, And You & I and The Gates of Delirium lie in wait... 🙂
