  1. Absolutely. And just wait until the majority trust it and rely on it… you can guarantee Musk, Bezos & co. will monetise it, and ‘steer’ its responses.
  2. Not even reading that cack 😄
  3. Probably just as well, as there's a chance we won't be able to afford food.
  4. Problem is, people don’t seem to care.
  5. The technology’s come on a bit since the ZX81, tho.
  6. I don’t mind it as an assistant to mundane, repetitive tasks. But… as a replacement for human creativity, or emotion? F that, with bells on. I absolutely detest it. It’s an inevitable development in technology, but one which opens a miserable new chapter.
  7. That's good news 🙂
  8. That’s a lot of weight to save when it’s out at the headstock end.
  9. What a rhythm section. Can you imagine being stuck in a lift with the singer, though? I'd have to claw through metal with my bare hands.
  10. I thought Resos were a straight swap? Great tuners, btw.
  11. No, I did too.
  12. Or Ian Faith, but it’s probably for the best.
  13. I'm not worried. Everything this lot do is great (see also A Mighty Wind, Bet in Show).
  14. The newer ones have a mid control. I prefer the original pre.
  15. I’ve used these amps constantly, week-in-week-out for about 7 years, never had problems like this. OP - I can send you a schematic if you need one.
  16. North of Newcastle? Dave Coates is your man. He's on FB.
  17. ^^^ Wot he sez
  18. Beautiful!
  19. Holy cow.
  20. Thread from the dead. I installed one in my '71 P yesterday (original pickup has been rewound, and lacked... something). Installation was relatively straightforward. I had to file the pickup lugs a bit to fit them through the pickguard, but apart from that it was plain sailing. Tone-wise... night and day. Very clear, very defined. I'll know more once I've gigged it.

  22. In the nicest possible way, I think most of the people following this thread are probably wishing you'd follow your own advice ^^^^
  23. Yep, everyone needs a Paddington.
  24. Last night's set-up. Same as it's been for years.
  25. My chambered Jake’s were / are around 7.2lbs… They balance perfectly, but I did spec Hipshot Ultralites.
