  1. Ha! Truth is, I’d love to use a P for the earlier stuff, but as the guitar / keys lads have a lot of switching around to do, it’s left to me to do a lot of the between-song chat.
  2. Cheers! It really is. Here's a clip. Bass sounds exactly as I want. Flatwounds FTW!
  3. Have you ever considered a different hobby?
  4. An Eagles tribute show at The Fire Station in Sunderland, a relatively new 550-cap venue. I reckon it's probably one of the best in the country. The hall is beautiful... acoustic perfection. The PA is premiere league. The staff are lovely, and absolutely on it. It even has parking! Used my MIA Standard Jazz, with the G&L L2000 on standby. Rig was, of course the Handbox R-400 (with its lovely on-board DI) and TKS S212.
  5. Same amp & cab as forever. New bass, tho!
  6. I don't think they were..? They were just beginning their 'Long, drawn out arrangement' phase. (edit) I will say that it sounds like their TV feed was mixed by a drummer...
  7. It follows the contour, and it'a rolled off slightly.
  8. Continuing my post-midlife crisis 'straying from Precisions' period, I couldn't resist this absolute stunner over the weekend. Just... look at it. It's a 1998 model, and was actually the L-2000 they used in the catalogue that year. A couple of honest dings here an there, but otherwise spot-on. I'll be gigging it on Friday.
  9. A great example of what-could-have-been bass-wise is the Brendan Lynch mix of Champagne Supernova. It's a lovely part.
  10. Here's a little video wot I made. DIrect into DAW... a little light compression and no EQ. All knobs wide open. D'addario Chomes.
  11. (UPDATE - ON HOLD FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS) Hey hey! Would consider trade involving a nice Precision or Jazz... let me know what you have. I picked this up recently in a trade, and as beautiful as it looks and sounds, it's not a Fender... so off it goes. This is a stunning example from the initial 2015 run of walnut & maple SW's. Resonant & rich, and only 8lbs 15oz. It's got the factory-fitted pull-out knob which kicks in the more traditional Ric sound. Despite being 10 years old, it looks basically new. Get out your magnifying glass and you might spy a couple of light marks on the back, but really it looks like it's just come out of the factory. Comes with original case, and candy - pickup cover, warranty card, polish cloth etc. Currently fitted with Chromes. I'm not keen to ship this... yet. Collection from Tyneside, or I could meet up within reason.
  12. Add me to the 'Get your hand in your pocket, Eavis!' crowd. It's fairly shabby that so many artists play for the entry fee to the event wot they're playing at.
  13. Lovely bass, and you've still got great hair. You swine. GLWTS
  14. Cheers! *shameless plug alert*
  15. Bootleg Eagles. Fairly new on the block.
  16. Eagles tribute show in Newcastle... a great venue, but a big space with a very high domed ceiling. A great house PA, engineer and lots of punters mitigated any issues. Lots more shows coming up with these chaps. I absolutely love it.
  17. MODERATOR MODE /ON Hi all If you're interested in buying the bass, please contact the OP. If you're not, scroll on.
  18. Aye, it’s clearly a mutt. Just wondering how - if it’s a Hondo - they let it out of the door with those routes.
  19. They look aligned on the Hondo, but the OP bass looks like a frown...?
  20. The string-through routes don't look factory, though..!
  21. My God I hate all this so much.
  22. *cough* Maruszczyk configurator *cough*
  23. Me neither. Music for people who think they like music.
