Loud. Yes it could, if you don't mind it getting a but hairy when you dig in. I think I posted a clip earlier in this thread from which illustrates it. I imagine it would sound mint through a decent 6x10.
It's cosmetic changes, from what I can see. Despite the the previously noted plastic nuts on the jack (I'd prefer metal, too), it feels as solid as the last one. I don't think anything's been tinkered with internally.
One of the reasons Amazon can afford to have such good customer service is probably because they pay so little tax.

Plank of wood with an ash tray nailed to it that makes people happy, and is almost guaranteed to appreciate in value.
I can totally understand the appeal.

Unusually, it was a featherweight and played beautifully, but I couldn't get a single usable tone out of it.
I like his reviews, and I'm glad he's back, but I never heard him say anything bad about anything he'd been sent to review...
Maybe he was just choosy with what he reviewed. I dunno.
I don't think anyone buys a vintage Fender in the hope that it will be £x000 better than a £500 bass. If they do, they're misguided.
It's about collect-ability, romance, and (possibly) investment.
I'm getting on with it very well indeed!
It sounds fantastic, but I couldn't say how much - if any - of it is down to special early 60s sauce. It's just a great sounding P. I got lucky.
