  1. I agree. Some of the vids and artwork he's put out recently.. yikes. Still some great live stuff though, especially with Lee Pomeroy on board. I wonder what happened with Gary O'Toole...?
  2. Keying aside, I don't think there's much wrong with it. It's lit well lit, the director is making good choices from (presumably) a limited amount of shots, keeping it exciting and relevant, and the audio is well produced. IMO many things the modern equivalents lack all too often.
  3. I can’t ignore the lead singer... he’s just... THERE. Like a creepy uncle.
  4. I can handle most of that apart from Nad Sylvan. He's completely dreadful.
  5. It wasn’t me.
  6. Just going to leave this here... I wish I was in a band that needed drive like this. It would be so much fun...
  7. The discussion is about why a BMW seems to be priced far more in the UK than in another country. It's nice to get a bit of rationale behind why, even if we don't agree with it. By the way, if you click the cross at the top-right of your browser, it'll close the window so you don't have to tolerate it any more.
  8. I do wonder why the buyer should stump up via the back door to cover warranty repairs anyway...?
  9. It sounds to me like it was still at the 'doodle' stage. Had it been a McCartney tune, he would whittled it down to about half the notes. IMO, obv.
  10. At least the bloke that wrote it agrees with me 😄
  11. Maybe be missed having a knob to twiddle, etc.
  12. He’s so marvellous I can even forgive him for murdering ‘Something’.
  13. Had time for a bit of noodling over the last couple of days. Here's a clip with the pre-amp being hit hard. I'd love to do something to show the power stage in overdrive, but neither my cheap Zoom recorder nor neighbours would ever speak to me again.
  14. As an aside, this clip also makes me mourn the loss of regional TV.
  15. According to Charlie, the bass player concerned, it's there '..to help me keep time, obviously.' 😄
  16. ...courtesy of 1970s Newcastle rockers, Sandgate...
  17. Lots of thoughts here:
  18. Yep, and when the pricing was mentioned on TB (frequently over the years), I've never seen it be challenged.
  19. I was always under the impression - based on comments over the years on TB - that Mesa rules pricing with an iron fist (no discounting, etc.)..?
  20. ..forgot to mention, I think the PRO15s would be a slightly better match for me, but the 17s will do fine. They have a flatter response, too.
  21. I used my PRO17's for the first time atlast weekend's gigs. They were incredible - I'm used to the usual basic earplugs, and these are a different league. Amazing flat response. You can hear people talking quietly in the room, but they seem to kick in at volume. I have no idea how they do it. And.. singing doesn't feel weird and boomy. That occlusion reduction really works. I completely recommend getting them via the musicians' hearing scheme I mentioned above. £40 is a complete bargain.
  22. It’s been like that for years. It’s a shame.
  23. Lovely bass, that.
  24. A pic from tonight. Happy face...
