Not mine but a mate has a very good/mint condition LH500 for sale. I gave it a blast the other day and I was knocked out by the sound, at a fraction of the cost of my Thunderfunk it wasn't a kick in the backside off being as good! Have a trawl through Basschat, Talkbass, Harmony Central etc if you want an idea of what these are like, there's loads of good stuff being said about them. I can ask him to get pics if someone is interested but essentially it has a couple of small marks on the rack mounts but nothing to write home about. The price of £195 includes UK mainland delivery, if you are outside of Mainland UK give me a shout and I'll see what can be done. No trades or anything as he was intending joining a band but he's realised that it's more hassle than it is worth trying to do so... shame.

Just to say that I've used General Logistics System (GLS) for delivery from Germany and they are 'very' competitive for courier pricing to the UK!

On second viewing of the photos I spotted too many other issues with the fit and finish, and if they're visible in the photos, hate to think how bad it would look in real life.
I agree, some of the outline 'lines' look decidedly squared off and there appears to be more divots than on a golf course!
Not being funny but I dont see absolute music trying to rip someone off they far too well known.

FWIW I've bought from Absolute in the past and they've been very good. If there is an issue, I'm sure there will be an innocent explanation.
No one has pointed a finger of blame. I raised the issue that the whole 'prototype' thing looked a bit sus but I'm not doubting that it is a PRS bass. I would however say that being a well known music shop/store doesn't mean that they are mistake/blame free and it isn't an excuse for not following the maxim 'caveat emptor'! -

I'm ready to be corrected on this big style but that looks all the world like one of the standard mkII PRS's with fancy inlays... with the exception of 'someone' writing prototype between the tuners with a permanent marker! -
would you mind offering up some insight into the Glock please? I am only really familiar with reports on the onboard. Despite not having the chops to cope with hi-fi sound I do love clean.
I had a Bass Art head (full amp rather than pre) and considering people talk about clarity etc with Glock I found it to be a nice full sound, warm but not mushy/muddy. I would still have it today if it weren't for the fact that iirc it was 300w and at the time that just couldn't cut the mustard live (partially that may have been the cab it was paired with), so it had to go. A higher powered Glock amp is one of the few amps I'd consider trading my Thunderfunk for.

Do the USA basses weigh less than the Skylines? I've owned a brace of Skylines (DJ and a pair of JO) and they were all pretty weighty beasts.

Nothing there that would give me the confidence to bid!

1964 Original Gold Sparkle Jazz Bass
warwickhunt replied to Sibob's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
So now that the auction is ended it does make me wonder why most of the images have been removed... Oh no I remember: taken from the previous time it was listed and discussed! http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=70234
...but if you're hosting the images yourself, you can include as many as you like in the main description with no charge. Why the seller would go to the effort of typing a description as text, pasting it into an image, saving it out, hosting it and then linking to it is a mystery to me. Unless being able to delete the image after the auction closes, and therefore all record of the text of the auction, is useful to them...
I'm a skeptical owld git but when stuff like that happens (as predicted) it does make you wonder. -
The identical wording (copying) of your responses (whether prompted for or not) on the two forums would indicate that English isn't a strong second language for you so I hope you can understand that people may have concerns about the validity of your sale. It was suggested over on the Warwick forum that you possibly get photographs of you, the bass and the receipt or bill of sale for the bass, ideally away from what appears to be a music store, I think that would seem reasonable especially as the Moderators over on the Warwick forum would likely be able to validate the sale of such an expensive bass through the retailers receipts.
Prospective buyers may wish to refer to this thread (which 'may' well resolve itself in favour of the seller) before parting with any funds! I think that it has already been highlighted over on the Warwick forum Nakhon but due to recent incidents where a seller (or sellers) from Thailand have tried to con/scam buyers, folks from outside of Thailand are very cautious with International sales. 1964 Original Gold Sparkle Jazz Bass
warwickhunt replied to Sibob's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
His feedback recently showed that he'd also sold a vintage Fender gold sparkle P bass but as it has slipped past the 90 days you can no longer view the link! Considering how rare they must be he's one hell of a lucky guy to have found a matching pair!
