1. Courier would actually be £7.
  2.
I'd say Chris Squires work with Yes kind of sums up the sound of a Rickenbacker... but he is supposed to have done a lot of that with a Jazz...go figure..!!
To add to that; I'm sure I read somewhere that Foxton recorded a lot of the Jam stuff with a P bass and didn't a lot of GL's tone sound Ric(ish) when recorded with a Jazz! Get 'clank' and you've got the Ric sound.
  3. Pioneer A300X Amplifier (fully working) Pioneer PD-S504 CD Player (fully working) Technics RS-TR515 Cassette Deck #1 (fully working - eject damping on one deck is lacking but still operates fine) Technics RS-TR515 Cassette Deck #2 (fully working) Rotel RA-920AX (One channel working other side has very faint, and distorted output i.e. one channel not working) JPW Mini-Monitor Speakers (fully working) x5 interconnect leads Cable Talk 3 Speaker Cable (a few metres but not massive amounts) All power leads and plugs £50 the lot and it'll have to be collection only as boxing this lot would be a nightmare!
  4.
My band use a pair of these. They are bloomin fab. Definitely recommend em. Never ever have to use Par Cans again Andy
Ditto and even though we have the bigger footswitch (with blackout) I just leave it on chase as I can't be ar5ed to dance about on the footswitch between/after songs. Light, easy to set up and very effective.

    SOLD

I have one in my gigbag as an emergency preamp in case my amp fails and I can then run into the PA... also acts as a back-up tuner!
  6. Black metal (no not satanic rock) 19" wide rack trays 1U high with a pair of rackmount holes on each side. I have 3 available, they are probably £15 a piece new but to save haggling I'll take £20 for the 3. Not sure of the shipping but it'll be a max of £9.
  7.
Beautiful ! All the best with your sale - if this was unlined fretless I'd be biting your hand off .......
An 'Is it a Streamer unlined fretless 4 or 5 you are interested in dmz?' type bump!
  8. £850 is 'nowt' for a bass of this quality! If you are prepared to ship International, I'd slap this on the Warwick forum and it should fly out.
  9.
Hi All Sadly I have to sell my Peterson 150W, 12" ElectroVoice Speaker in a compact mahoganay cab (with cover). Powerful, crisp, clear, good condition. Offers around £100? cheers p.s I'm in NW London/S.Herts
12" EV in a Peterson cab @ £100... bit of a bargain!
  10. Cracking around the headstock/tuner... result of a drop and structural or paint 'crazing'?
  11.
Can someone else confirm that this is a good price? I'm VERY tempted but £875 is a lot of money to me.
£875 is a lot of money for 'anyone' but I have to say that Warwick basses are severely undervalued and this should be worth that kind of money all day long! 'If' you don't go for it I'd recommend that the OPer open it up to International buyers as has been considered on the Warwick forum... the strength of the Euro would make this a steal.
  12.
What do the micro switches do?
Reverse polarity foo-foo switches... or to the uneducated; EQ centre selection. I'll do a search on TB as I know they've been discussed over there but it'll not be till later.
  13. I'm in before they close this thread!
  14.
i firstly raised the price cos when i was selling it, someone PMed me and said that since i dont know anythn about the bass it could be worth more than iv put it for, so i decided that just incase, id raise it to £500, but then he called anyway and said, we should sell it, (both of us hardly know anything about fenders) but he just decided that a four is easier for him to paly on, so there is no point sellin the four, i should just stick to selling my 5. and the reason that i have to still sell my ibanez by 5 is becasue the person who im buying the ken smith burner from messaged me to say that someone els is intrested in it as well, and he can only now hold it for me till friday. so sorry guys. you can check out my post on my Ibanez BTB 475 bass, there are pics for that when i posted it a couple of weeks ago on here, and it cost less. (but im hoping that my friend will buy it so that i wont have to try sell it here). again, sorry for the trouble and confusing you all.
Now I am confused! So the friend you are hoping will buy your Ibanez... is that the same friend from the church? BTW don't take the hump; I don't differentiate between bible bashers or angry agnostics.
  15.
Well this is random, Sorry guys it looks like this bass isnt even for sale anymore. The other bass player just called back from my church and decided that we should keep the fender, since he finds it hard right now to play on my ibanez since its a 5 string bass and if i sell the fender, then there will be no 4 strings for him to actually play on.
Let's hope he doesn't join Basschat/eBay and try and sell it for £600!
  16.
well, my church might be possibly looking to sell its fender precision 4 string, its a great bass,, but for me and the other bass player in my church, it just doesnt suit us and our sound and style.. I dont know much about fenders atall but it looks like a good one, its dark green colour and the scratch plate is like dark reddish brown colour. so its going for £500 if it can get a sale, (until i check how much its really worth by tommorow) I have pics up of it by tommorow most likely, for if you want to check it out, i want to get it sold BEFORE THIS FRIDAY because with the money, i will be buying a ken smith burner 5 for myself and then sending my Ibanez BTB 5 string to church to be the main bass there instead. so if any one might be wanting to buy it, its: for now £500 (until i check how much its really worth by tommorow)
Wish I'd bought it an hour ago when it was £400... after all it isn't tomorrow yet!
  17.
hahaha the JV is filed under the "dream bass, oh wow I've never heard anything that sounds this good" so isn't going anywhere! Honestly I think the only reason I play the warwick is that my regular playing place (its not really a gig) is at church through a ashdown AMD stack, a muddy woolyness, add a P bass that dominates the mids and has a really really fat piano like sound full of harmonics add people doing the PA desk who dont know how to do PA very well means it can be a bit stressfull. The warwick's thinner tone can just cut through without filling much of the mix and is less stressfull. It's the JV's turn this sunday
Ah in that case I'll just wait... course fees can be expensive! No in all seriousness, you've got a couple of cracking basses and you'll be able to pick up a Jazz once your courses are all done and you have a stonking job!
  18.
Make em lefty and I will make an offer!
Strap buttons duly relocated and the nut grubscrews/bridge saddles reversed... now what were those offers?
  19. Look if it helps you out Luke I'll pay you another visit and take the JV off of you... for an appropriate remuneration of course.
  20.
you can see the serial on the headstock....... I am having second thoughts though.... I'm not sure I want to sell my warwick....
Don't sell it then... give it away to me!
  21.
Just got a different bass from John, in great condition and he made it easy for me to do the deal too. You can buy with confidence from this man, sound as a pound. Have a bump on me T
Cheers mate.
  22. When you ask for a price you'll got anything from an optimistic guess/educated calculation to worse still, values from those looking to pick up a cheap bass or those who own an identical model that want to see it worth as much as possible. I have no intention of buying from you nor do I own either basses so my prices fall into the former category. My value of the Hohner is based upon having owned/sold one and having recently helped someone else source one, the value of the P bass is lower than some values mentioned because it isn't a 'normal' MIJ P bass and as such it has a divided market; if the right person is looking for exactly that bass you may achieve more but I'll stick my neck out and think you'll not have a massive queue forming if you put it up for £500. Hohner: £120 - £200 P Bass: £280 - £350
  23. @ £490 you'd not 'lose' money on it! If it had been (virtually) any other finish than that lacquered, natural finish I'd have been tempted at that price. I say go for it!
  24.
Next option: Trade for SWR SM900 (old version pre fender) and the balance paid through bank transfer also welcome.
Now if you'd wanted an SWR 750x I may have been able to wangle something!
