Pyramid Golds they almost certainly are... no issue with any string snapping though!

I have a set of flats with lilac coloured silk wraps, which I bought from someone on here and for the life of me I can't remember what make they are... anyone help me out as I'm tired of looking through threads trying to trace them! Cheers

Are you talking the new Squier CV or a JV, SQ, Chinese, Jap? It does make a difference. It'd be just as easy to get The Bass Doc to make you a one from scratch (no pun intended) and you'd be sure of the holes lining up, he uses only the best ply and they are spot on for quality and fit.

... because people haven't tried a Warwick Streamer yet!

As regards the Sado... I'd be inclined to be a tad suspicious of someone that owned a Sadowsky bass and didn't even know how to spell it (especially as has been noted, it is big and bold on the headstock).

However I accept what you say, as evidenced by the big sell outs that I've had over the years and I now own very different basses; Bolin, Zon, PRS, Warwick (x4 but 'definitely' different models), which are used in different situations.

Fender 60's Mexi Reissue Jazz Burgundy Mist - Again, awesome bass in a bit of a special finish. Squier 1983 'SQ' Japanese Precision Bass with added Jazz Pickup in the bridge. Now that's two basses that tweak my interest BUT as has been pointed out; now is not the greatest time to be selling stuff as prices are seriously depressed!

Now if you put the J pups in the P body and change the colour, you'd have my perfect individual bass... Ah that's very close to Clarky's bass! Very nice Barrie, wish we lived a whole lot closer so that I could try some of the cracking basses that you have.

If I was starting out again and with a limited budget, I'd go for a used Hartke LH500 head and a pair of used Peavey 2x10 cabs. Stack the two cabs end on end and you'll get a much better spread of sound than a normal 4x10. Though from the budget amp line-up I wouldn't dismiss Peavey, GK (the older 400/800RB) or some of the old TE and Laney range... actually thinking about it, there's a lot more choice available for a lot less money than there used to be and I could probably find a whole raft of stuff that's been up for sale on here or eBay recently.

I'm a proper bass player, I'm too busy packing the gear away coz the rest of the lazy bastard band are nattering to; groupies, kit junkies, the promoter, my Mum (hang on that's not right ), the support band's parents, other 'so called' musicians, other bands with the generic "you're tight" observations, drunken idiots giving them career advice or any person not mentioned previously in order that they can avoid packing the gear away... do I speaketh the truth?

I'm trying to get a good impression of the 'actual' weight of these basses (as opposed to manufacturers guesstimates), do you have a decent set of kitchen scales you could throw your CV on to better inform my possible next (remote) purchase? My local music stores don't have any in stock and I'm likely to be buying used from here or eBay and not everyone can or will be able to give an accurate weight so it would be a huge help.
