I’m liking the dark theme. However……… on my iPhone when I get a notification thingy at the bottom ( eg someone has replied, someone has reacted etc) I’m struggling to ‘press’ it, and end up making B I hating some other way. maybe it’s just me and my fat thumbs!

So I've used pitch correction, and seen the 'blobs' produced by melodyne analysis. They tell you the nearest note of each blob , and how many 'cents' it was off. My question is how many cents off would a typical 'good' singer be most of the time? Are they pitch perfect, or just close enough? And what is close enough? (Not necessarily rhetorical questions.... if anyone has an answer would like to hear it!)

No, neither as performer or punter. My main band is now drummerless and the other guys don't want to carry on - so no gigs forthcoming. My other band - maybe I'll hear something from the BL. As a punter I already missed one as the rescheduled date clashed with a rescheduled holiday. First world problem! I have a few 'delayed tickets' , I think one is coming up soon. Double jabbed, but still nervous about the old infection rate.

Maybe a bit peeed off that it's the Steve Jones story and not the John L story.

I rarely use effects on bass. A lot of genres don’t need bass pedals. A lot of players who try pedals end up going straight to amp. However it is worth trying them out in case it works for you…. but nothing expensive, just a cheap zoom multi effect or similar. Then you can get rid or upgrade as appropriate.

That’s an impressive achievement. Although Carol Kaye will probably claim some of those were her😃

I used the Melodyne in this months Composition challenge...... was pretty easy to use, but not sure what effect it had on overall quality of the track!

I'm fortunate that my punk/new wave band features pretty much songs I enjoy playing AND listening to. The one that fits most to the OP question would be 2-4-6-8 Motorway by TRB. Although I've seen it on peoples 'don't like to play ' list!

Yes, that boils my wee wee too. I like a lot of small bands, so I side-step the issue by sticking to those for gigs.
