I hadn't noticed, but agree it would be confusing to an observer. I guess it's one of the golden rules for youtube lessons... don't just play the right note, but be seen to play the right note. My pet hate is un-dotted fretboards.

Fender fans be like: (Only joking BTW - I don't mind Fenders and it's the 'sea-monsters' I don't like)

I'm gonna vote for Bass Buzz too! Really helpful and informative and nothing flash. He does include a bit of humour, not too much, about the right amount maybe. and not too zany or wacky 😕 I've watched half a dozen in the last few days and I don't want to strangle him yet - so must be doing something roght! Try this one:

Aaahhh it’s no good they all look ok😉….. I’ll just second the motion for all natural finishes!

Lots for me, but can’t think of a specific one at the moment. I’m off to the “bass guitars” section of BC to hunt down a munter …… back soon!

Well the possibility to play in the live Abba avatar band is still there. Except the bass player has already been chosen….. but, you know, accidents can happen😉!

I’ll go for John French, aka Drumbo of Captain Beefheart’s Magic Band. Fantastic drummer and seems like he can play most other instruments too. And sing. Not sure we what I’d bring to the party though!

The new Low album (from which this is taken I think) is album of the day on 6music today. Interesting new sound from Low methinks, based on the couple heard so far. Good that they are not stuck in a rut even after all these years. -
Sunburst? Nay, nay and thrice nay! Daphne Blue? Yay, yay and thrice yay! Surf Green? A single Yay. To paraphrase Ian Dury in S&D&R&R: Sunburst is such a pity.

Amazing record........ in that the cheerful tune and jaunty bassline are totally at odds with the tragic nature of the lyrics. -

This song really caught my ear, great sound and great chorus. The Fixer by The Bug Club: -

For those not familiar with much Hip Hop there is a four part BBC Radio 2 (yes Rap is Radio 2 now!) series by Romesh Ranganathan (yes the comedian!) where he gives a pretty good intro... the first one has expired and the second only has three days left Romesh Ranganathan: For The Love of Hip Hop https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m000yvxd -

I was surprised to see that the 10-piece live band for the shows was put together by the keyboard player from Klaxons: -

I think of rap as just the vocal style, and hip hop covers the instrumental music and other cultural elements. and yes not all rap is hip hop. For example you could think of Johnny Rotten as rapping, but not the Pistols as hip hop. -

I can’t stand that either. But as you found out there I’d loads of rap not like that. -

I purchased the new album by "Sault" yesterday... here's London Gangs. I think it counts as rap.....: They are one of those 'anonymous' outfits, but I think one of the people behind Sault produced the Little Simz album.
