  1. Omega Bridge... not pickup? Just take the route drilling work steady... It's fun...
  2. SR400B-CW (US Model...) It's Going Passive...
  3. Nice little project that... Warman Quad Coil... Omega Pickup (SD?) or just the Ring? Ring looks like it's for an Archtop... Oil finish, luverly... Tru-Oil? Keep those pics coming...
  4. Ebay turned up a DD502 Bass Drum Tower (same as the Alesis tower...) and Kick Pedal (slightly different design...) So it's Double Bass Drum Time! Cue... Over Kill!!!
  5. Pair of Ibby GSR200's... Ibby SR600 - Mk1 Barts are Split Coils Rev P in a Soapbar... Nice Vintage VFL940... Real Nice
  6. ^ Nothing wet... I'd use a bar of soap or candle wax... same as on wood screws, zips etc...
  7. Jaws Music... 'Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the Marketplace...' Tue 31st Oct... Ibby SR400B-CW (US Model) on ebay... Picked it up on Fri 3rd Nov... Tue 7th Nov... Dimarzio Model J's - DP123 (Split Coils) in our own Marketplace... I saw them on Wed 8th... and sorted Today... The SR300 J was @Rasleefault with his Bargain Maida Vale Stacked Jazz Pickups... Then @shoulderpet caught me when i was all vulnerable... A pair of DiMarzio DP123 Model J's... and less than a week after collecting this luverly looking SR400... A Match Made In BR6... Ready!.. Assorted Odds 'n Sods on order... But, I need the Outline Shaped Packaging Foam from a pair of Jazz Pickups... to act as surrounds in the original routs... Anyone?
  8. Artec QTP... Passive Tone Switch - By Pass and 4 Position Resistor / Capacitor Combinations... £12 https://spartanmusic.co.uk/products/artec-electronics-sound-controller-circuits

  10. A 'Sorted in Autumn Sunshine' pic... ..and a BIG thanks to those that followed and commented on my hap-hazard exploits...
  11. Like the Fishtail Tuners on the F type headstock... Subtle modern touch and 'prolly weight saving too. Just needs a 'Wonder Pet' logo... Linny, Tuck and Ming-Ming...
  12. Nice... Wurther's Original Butter Candy...
  13. All Wired-Up!.. Vol(A500k)/Blend(MN500k)/Tone(Aretec QTP)... ...and might go for a DFA/Producer Switch in the empty hole...
  14. Might have a shim under the bridge bar or piezo element? But, likely to just get a load of buzz higher up, need to have a look at the relief before nut and action. 1mm or so might be good for a heavy strummer, but 2mm sounds like making issues for string height, intonation etc. Action 2mm at the 12th... but not relief 2mm at the 6th String Gauge?
  15. Pickup Foam finally turned up... out of the cover... Double-Coil Deep ... and, hanging out of the cover... hence the trench. Now... Do you think i could find a matching set of 8 screws? Even if old, think they deserve matching after all it's put me through... So currently 2 'n 2 while i get on the case...
  16. Vary... Yep... But as long as the existing screw holes get covered... On a budget? - take a look at Aliexpress - some funky Colours, Swirls and Pearls... Also the pickup foam - with a little spring in... Wax Cloth Wire... If you haven't got a Jack Socket yet, I rate the Pure-Tone Multi Contact.
  17. Love the Adagio flats on my Harley B Acoustic Bass... Real woody upright tone Had bronze on there to start with, too squeaky for me... Ah... Just noticed... 'Short Scale' Was some short scale flats FS on here... unless ya don't like flats...
  18. Best Bass is the one you want to pick up...
  19. Oh My... Nice... https://www.musicplant.co.th/en/product/82040/umedaujb4norathep-masaeng-signature
  20. More... ^ I recall a thread where the Headstock was done before the scratchplate was lifted... and hole noticed... so no return, that said it's real little and a sticker, or plastic wood type fill would sort it... Fingers crossed yours hasn't but not end of world stuff.
  21. @police squad... STOP... Been a few HB PB50 Modders about... and does look like a mighty fine 'lil project... Earlier(?) ones have no routing under the plate, later ones have had a small hole in the top... to make the drilling and wiring easier between pup cavity and control cavity via the hole... shame - or a little sticker? 😉 The burst on the later ones is a paper photo burst over bass wood... some posts pics etc show and describe lots of plastic type sealer... bugger to get off - Red one is meant to be an easier re-fin Headstock?.. see page 6 Mike Dirnt - still tempted to tele the head on my P Bitsa...bass heads.pdf
