1. Come on guys - if you're gigging in a band this is an excellent bass.

3. GK - £350 is a great price for a Tribute L2000 - that's their secondhand value in the UK. Go for it, they're are great basses. Need a testimony? I gig mine most weekends! You can get Stingray bite, Jazz honk and P bass thump in one bass which is also light and comfortable to play. It was apparently Leo Fender's favourite bass design as it combines the best bits of the others he created. Only con is that the necks have that cheap bleached wood look. Can't really think of any others. Edit: the controls look complicated but are quite simple. Pickups and electrics are US made. 1. Pickup selector - neck/neck+bridge/bridge 2. Series/parallel switch 3. Active switch - passive/active/active boost I usually have both pickups on and the active on, but not boosted. Sounds great.

6. Find a new band, that's the solution. Worked for me.
7. Here you go: Drummer in band turns down gig after gig, causing politics. Eventually bandmembers can't be arsed with it, so two of us call it a day. Drummer pipes up: "...but I was up for playing a load of gigs this year..."
8.
I took the T bird, no one exept another bass player remarked on it, I didnt get laid. Dohhhhh
Did the guitarist?
9. Isn't the 5th string for resting your thumb on?
10. I love that Sadowsky ad: "the last two years have been a period of intense collaboration, experimenting and prototyping ...." And the result? ...a Fender Jazz copy!
11. And replied. Now offering free UK shipping on this.
12. My drummer's an appalling timekeeper. He once turned up to the gig 2 hours after we'd started it.
13. Personally, I've gone off the heavy American basses and enjoy gigging the lighter Far East stuff. Easier to play, easier to swing about, great sound and better value The gear snob thing is a bit of nonsense really when you consider a lot of great records were recorded using very average basses.
14. Sorry to hear about this - hope it turns up soon.
15. Anyone seen an LH500 under £300 please? Need a replacement after my Trace went bang!

17. Ego a-go-go but great player. Is that an Ibanez she's using there?
18. +1 Gigged my BB614 again last night. I love the way it plays and I think it looks the dogs too. Despite being big in the body, it's pretty light so you can throw it around a bit when you play. Handed it to a guitarist friend after the gig to have a go and he said: "they are great these Fender basses, aren't they".
