1.
he's been in touch.
Was it a long drawn out conversation ?
2. Well , it's new band/1st gig. You'll know what to do when you've got it out the way .
3. If you just play with a smile on your face regardless , and lock in with the drummer you should be ok. I've played a few gigs where me and either the guitarist ( or drummer depending which band I was in )were told how good we were , and criyicised the frontman . So ,they knew that we weren't the problem . Enjoy it, and deal with issues afterwards;)
4. Not a fan .I have bought the first 3 Albums in the hmv sale , but never play them. However, going to outdoor gigs o expect crap sound . If it isn't its a bonus . The black sabbath gig was good in Hyde park last year for most of it . To me, that's a rare occasion when it does work. Even at twickenham ..maiden played a blinder! Sound was inaudible from where I was. Standing somewhere else , it could've been great. The bigger the venue , the bigger the probs. Hammy odeon is perfect size, but more often than not its the O2 , which is spectacular IMHO
5. ..or he could have been stressed over a house move
6.
I find the majority of modern metal just gets me reaching for the radio dial, all that blast beat, shouty nonsense. It ceases to be about angry energy and becomes nothing more than aural epilepsy.
Yeah, it's gone very cliched and formula now . Individuality gone out the window .
7. Pretty nifty headless . Trades ? Where are you based ?
8. Met Richard , and had a long coffee chat . He bought my Warwick rack stand . Top bloke to meet in person . Hope you like the stand
9. I know beta funk from various conversations on here. He does come across as a really nice bloke . I think he may have moved house! Apparently , he used to live not too far from me. However, over the last couple of weeks, he was selling a couple of basses , and that was from Lincoln( I think /istbc).
10. I had a schecter diamond series.Total bling ( gold hardware etc.) . The b string was fantastic. Very easy to play
11. Thanks Rich 'I've just you tubed it . Seeing as I already have effects, I'm gonna go for ehx/ nanox2
12. There are often ibanez basses sold here. I used to have a Schecter 5 string. Looked and played the nuts . Depending on where you're based, maybe a fellow bass hatter will let you try one of the ones you're considering out .
13. Not long Kendall so, I will be buying a new looper ( may get the dittox2 as well if things workout ). I was thinking of selling the rc-2 ,but I do like the drum loops on there. Decisions, decisions
14. Nice bass ..have a bright bump
15. Synth with bass= confusion and more trouble than what it's worth imho . Unless you spend a lot of cash and time . Okay for making belching noises in the bedroom, but not worth risking in the dog and duck
16.
Lots of reviews and info on looping here - http://www.loopers-delight.com/loop.html This is something I recorded on my Ditto earlier - https://soundcloud.com/an-ending-ascend/25052015-live
Just listened to the sound cloud . I left a comment . It's really good .
17.
They recently came down from around the £100 to under 80 so thats a fair price I think. Note: My problem is the double stomping to stop it while playing guitar and singing as I'm not very confident at any of them. My wife could probably do it better
Playing guitar and singing ? Obviously somebody who is multi talented ;)I can do neither
18. Just saw a buy it now price of £60 ( + postage £65 approx), for the e h x Worth grabbing? Just bid £48.52p . 5 days left . If I get outbid ,and it's still there , I may bid the full amount .
19. Thanks pinball. That looks good . Everything seems less clumsy to use, than the boss RC-2. I do notice boomerangs crop up more on fleabay UK over the last few months. But at the moment it looks like the ehx or the dittox2 .
20. Cool! Looks like the dittox2 then for me .
21. yeah, they do look easy to use . Mmm looperlative. better look on the tube about that.
22. I know it's probably me , but my Boss RC- 2 is hardly used . I find it 'fiddly '. I got the dual Boss fs foot switch and after messing around with it today, I realise I'm getting impatient with bending down on the floor changing this, that and the other. Old mans syndrome perhaps ??. I do like the drum patterns on there tho''. Is there a better ,( but not hugely expensive ) alternative? Something rack , rather than pedal ? Or, should I just persevere? I have done loops on it in t he past obviously , but it's forgetting bits when you don't use it often . I am now in the mood to loop often;) Cheers
