  1. Nice Geordie guy. He is sending his mate who lives in twickenham down to see me in a few mins . When I asked his mate 'whereabouts in twickenham'?' The only reply I got idle ' twickenham' He knows my address . I have both of their mobile numbers . I may have to take his car no. I may be over worrying . We will see
  2. No need to bow out Lou;) I may have just opened a small can of worms here
  3. Can somebody show me a decent tremolo . Possibly you pube clip? Cheers
  4. Rumple's a cool guy . Can't remember what business we did together . Karlfer told me I'll regret selling this . Surprised he hasn't seen this thread . I sold a couple of basses to Essex bass chat ( Tom is s great guy ). I've got first refusal for those There are many ways I'm looking at the sale tonight .i have hardly picked up any of my basses for months . If I do, it's the Washburn status, or the vester fretless . I'm due to get some cash later in the year/ early next year , and say to myself, if I really want another tele bass then I can get one . Even a first generation . I'll probably go for a status tho ' TBH
  5. Thanks guys . Synths side - nice offer thanks !! If you are selling that in the next few months , I will indeed pay you a visit .), Won't do anything yet, as I must be on my best financial behaviour Cheers
  6. Maybe if you took pic of your cats playing with the gig bag., the bass will sell quicker ? I find its a buyers market for things , over say ,£500 I had stuff here up for ages . Got scared of selling expensive stuff on eBay , due to experienceds posted recently on Basschat . Glwts
  7. Tonight , a basschatter will be buying my 1977 Fender Telecaster bass. Mixed emtions TBH . I wouldn't have plaid over a thousand pounds for a bass in the beginning . What made me buy it back in 2004 , was that I sold a very rare piece of vinyl from Metallica . I was gonna pay bills , but decided to buy this instead . Because it is 'antique' , I always said I'd never sell it . Bizarre really , as I'm a headless guy . When I was in a 'serious ' covers band , the other band members said ' get a proper bass ' etc. When I got this , ' it's too wooly/ muffled' etc. So , after a couple of large bills , I decided to sell it. ( I withdrew it a couple of times .) So the plan is , in a few months/ next year when I get a bit of cash ( inheritance not much ) ,I'm gonna get a status , or kubicki, or steinberger trams trem or cricket bat . I'll probably feel better then . I have 5 other basses anyway;)
  8. Computer speakers , and a USB interface
  9. Phaser, reverb , bass whammy , flanger ?
  10. Looks like a chocolate log cake
  11. Shame , great player ((
  12. I was there from '79 onwards . A massive maiden fan , until di'anno left. I had to send a postal order for this , back in the day . Not really a maiden fan now , and haven't touched this for years . Slight wear on the cover. Vinyl itself is vgc. Not mint , as I played it a few times In the early years. There are a lot of forgeries about , but I have the real deal . Ask. any questions about the grooves at the end( numbers etc) and I will confirm I have the original . I don't do hero worship like I used to , and I think this should go to a true iron Will post . Bomb proof packaging of course, or meet in twickenham/ central London
  13. selling , as I no longer play vinyl. Here we have a fantastic turntable , complete with rega bias tonearm. Although a barely used ortofon cartridge is already fitted, I will chuck in a nagaoka one also. (You will have to buy your own stylus for the ortofon ). Two things I must mention ; first - no lid ! They never. Seemed to last for some reason. Secondly , a small part on the shell of the rega tonearm has been damaged( see pic). Other than that , the turntable works great in every way . I will also chuck in a turntable mat and record cleaners . Hit me with offers;) Collection from twickenham only Cheers Ratm

  15. Save it from eBay . Price reduced . Almost 40 year old bass . All original .
  16. Great thread rich I'm not too handy, but did adjust a truss rod successfully
  17. Due to huge incoming bills , I have to trim the herd. Not liking this, but as I've not done anything for ages, something has to give. So, first we have a Dean Taxi Hollowbody in bright yellow , with chequered binding ( just like an American taxi). It has a few dings , but nothing major .Comes with a Stagg Hard Case, which are hard to come by also. Second bass , is a Steinberger xm2/3 it comes with a few dings , as it's almost 30 years old. A new jack socket , and one new claw have been fitted. It has the split pickups, and not the usual humbuckers. Very hard to come by . It comes with the well worn zip bag, and letters. May split . If I post the steinberger, postage will be about £30 extra. Can't really post the taxi bass, as I would imagine it to be expensive . Collection from twickenham ,or meet in central London More pics later RATM
  18. I have a vester fretless, Warwick thumb copy . Brilliant bass. There is a fretted equivalent on the bay at the moment , and would snap that up if I had the readies . Can't go wrong with vester IMHO,
  19. I miss my Aguilar gear. £700-750 good price . Go for it ( I had the same amp , with a db112 no tweeter btw)
