1. If you are a Christian, then let Jesus help give you the groove, get lost in the music.
 2. I'm having Gospel Chops with a honey and mustard glaze with a Satan salad for tea. Gospel is not a style of bass playing.

 4. Hi Andy, thankyou so much for this brilliant and informative series of installments. I have just read one and two and now I need to plug in my keyboard, as I don't own a fretless, for quarter notes. Back to inst 3, speak soon Steve.

 9.
I wouldn't run it bridged into a 410HE, too much risk of damage IMO. Alex
Alex, do you use your QSC on one channel or bridged? I run mine bridged into either a Glock Double 2x12" (500w @ 4 ohms) or a Tech 6x10" (2100w @ 6 ohms), I'm just very careful with the amps gain.
 10.
Allo! Great to 'ear from you again Redders! We really must get a reunion sorted!!! (you, Kol, me and Cookie and if we can find 'im, Toby Douglas!). Remember that italian we had in Manchester - I think we spent about £300 on Barolo that night...! Those pics bring back some memories! Bryan, that pearl blue Mark King model with the unusual funk groove used to belong to our good friend Mick Cookson from Manchester - he originally bought it as what he thought was a Roadie II passive, finished entirely in gloss black (with the funk groove). Anyway, Mick took it to John around 1999 or so and wanted it stripping down to have it redone in `Manchester City' blue. As John got it rubbed down, it was clear that it was not a Roadie but a heavily modified Mark King model, complete with centre stringers in the body. Mick then had John restore it complete with the standard JD 3 band eq etc. I've got a pic of me playing it at the old Bartholomew Street workshop. It now resides in Paris with Morgan Roussell who owns my red ex-King classic bass! Cheers! Nick
Nick, I love you and Basschat. That's a great story.
 11.
check out level 42 live at regal theatre hitchin 1983 and watch mark king play eyes waterfallin the bass line is extremely difficult then he sings on top of that and chews gum and presses pedals, what an absolute legend that guy is literally the best in my opinion only of course but just makes it seem so easy! So cool oh and the jaydee sounds awesome too, and level42 were at their best here before the bullshit came in with the suits and fanny records like lessons in love and running in the family. Sold out sh*te. But yeah i could never do the singing and playing i can sing and play but not at the same time. I dont know about backing vocals i think itd be a bit easier less pressure e.t.c
Easy Marcus.
 12.
I do actually want one of those. Stu
I want to ask Gene how he gets his hair looking so great.
 13. Bit of a Shawn Lane vibe going on with the guitarist. Ped, enjoy your day and remember, she's 21, so now the fun starts.
 14.
Thanks for that - I've just had the equivalent of a fret-stoning, so on we go - 'Bop till yer drop'.
Fret-stoning and a bit of routing, I fancy. Stay superbad Doc, all the best. Steve.
 15.
You posted your original thread YESTERDAY. Have some patience for godsake, the technical forum runs at a slower pace but offers very valuable advice. Besides, I wasn't aware 'rays had a passive option at all. I suspect as it's 2nd hand there's been shenanigans.
Bit harsh, the guys obviously worried that his bass has a problem, which it sounds like it has. I'd get it to a reputable tech asap, let the original seller know what the problems are and tell them that they will be liable to pay for the repairs. Here's a brilliant resource for MusicMan basses, this may help if you can find out the year of the bass in the serial numbers section, then check the type of preamp. http://www.musicmanbass.org/mycustompage0019.htm Good luck Steve.
 16. Nice work Ped, makes you wander how many people get ripped who are not as assertive.

 21. I had a Nady 201, great unit but the transmitter clip was awful, never stayed on, so gaffered up it was.
 22.
A certain Harlot 5-string may become available, but a 62RI would have to enter the equation, too
You're a bad man Rich.
 23. Why have so many people got tattoos these days? When I were a lad, only sailors, gangsters and rockers had em, now, every housewife and school kid has em..... Sorry wrong thread.
 24.
Thanks! Imagine this bass, but with a koa top covering thw whole body, and a slightly broader neck:
That cardigan is awsome.
