2. Nice bass for a 30 year old, snide, jarg as effyouseekay.
3. Brilliant pictures of what looks like a great time. Well done to all.
4.
Bit of both my Warwick 6 Corvette + cash. He said he just prefers Warwicks.
Doesn't he.
5.
The ACG is the best bass i have ever played. So flexible I love the string spacing and the asymmetrical neck. You sir have excellent taste.
Did you pay Rob cash, or swap something?
6. I started an ACG club then I swapped my 6 string for a 1980 Stingray. I will have a 4 string Recurve soon.
7.
No upcharge for lefty, thats what we like to see.
Are you still loving the ACG?
8. Good price. Best of luck .
9. Beautifully put. The bass I have has travelled the world with Dr Das since 2003, playing in Asian Dub Foundation, I think it will always have a fondness for lighting a nice cone and listening to Lee Scratch Perry, when I'm not mauling it.
10.
..oh and Steve's lefty is tasty too, in a more `Vader' style! N
Nick, I like your thinking.
11. Rob had one too many carrot juices the day he let this out the factory, he hasn't changed sine I first saw his photo in Music UK in 1985. I love this bass, I've wanted a Status since hearing True Believers off the True Colours album and seeing Killing Joke use them. I fell in love with the shape and the whole idea of a state of the art English bass, that could be used through every genre of music. Pick it up and play, never complains and sounds wicked, don't know how people can say they sound sterile.
12. I was very fortunate to get this for an amazing price, including a full Status flightcase off ebay, so there are bargains to be found, not many though. This would cost £2300 with the case to replace.
13. Don't bother, not missing it in the slightest. I have loads of them sitting around the house, when I pick them up to have a leaf through, they just annoy me. Just go into any music shop, get a Wawick and Fender catalog and then save yourself £4.
14.
I have a pair of MIM Jazz pickups...the posts on the A & D strings stand pretty proud, can I tap them in a bit or will this cock things up? Never had this before. Cheers P
NO!!! Don't touch them. The reason they are proud is to follow the radius of the fretboard. Fender basses of yore, had a thing called "Fade" on the A and D strings, basically the response was quieter because the A and D were further away from the flat pole pieces of the pickup. I think only DiMarzio have adjustable pole pieces.
15. Bargain Bargainson.

18. Sounds amazing, I'm liking the sound of that. That shipping on the amp has made my toes curl, ouch.
19. Well it's costing the best part of £900, so I reckon 2 cabs....stop playing silly beggers Rob, tell the kids, they want to know.
20. 2 Compacts in Vintage guise.
21. Is that Richards SVT 5?
22. Glad to see they're still giving it some. Gotta love the feck face on the percussionist, oh baby.
23. 5K for a Cullender, get real.
24. I ALWAYS insure anything I send.
