Hi Folks Amp now SOLD - thank you! I bought this amp a few months ago from deanovw as I wanted to buy a smaller, lightweight amp with a lot of headroom, good e.q. etc.. I also wanted to find a lightweight amp that could easily be repaired if it had a problem, and unlike a lot of the lightweight Class D amps out there, this one can be very easily repaired by your local tech.. Since it's arrived, I've done two gigs with it and a handful of rehearsals and what I can say is that it's very powerful and it has a huge variety of tonal possibilities - in particular, the 'Enhance' and 'Timbre' controls are fabulous! It's clean and punchy as anything, and has a really fast response - work great for fast finger style playing, slap or pick playing. My new band really like it actually.... But for some strange reason, I haven't really bonded with it like I hoped I would?? I think that I'm just too much of a Luddite really, preferring a warmer, valve tone... So, I'm putting this up for sale at £550 or near offer, including the flight case. Having just invested in a new valve head, I'm not really looking for any trades at this time..... However, having said that, I might be interested in a deal for a cheaper P or J style 4 string bass with a maple neck plus some cash my way - simply because I haven't got any basses with a maple neck, and I really fancy trying one out! Here's one of deanovw's pics which I hope he won't mind me using.. Will put up some more pictures tonight but in the meantime, here's a link to the previous, very well written advert, which has all the pictures: http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2819940 Am happy to demo if you're local, interested and would like to hear it first. Equally, I am very happy to ship it for you at your cost. Any questions, please ask here or send me a PM. Thanks for looking Nik
Sold a mixing desk to Mike. He is always a pleasure to meet and chat about all things bass related. A more genuine guy you couldn't wish to meet and is a real credit to the BC fraternity. Thanks again Mike.
+1 Spot on!
Sounds like you've discovered the Landmark's 'forté' then Nik? I thought you'd like it!
Definitely! It's a great sounding amp, or should I say 'amps' ... because it really is a flexible and rather clever piece of kit..
I'll never sell my Peavey MkIV head. Reliable and almost indestructable, great practical tone shaping, ALWAYS enough volume with plenty to spare + two channels. All that for under £100 ? I'm almost tempted to buy this as a spare. Thing is, mine has never so much as hiccupped, so why would I need spares ? Good luck with the sale Nik
Only just seen this post, sorry, but thanks for the uber positive endorsement... You know, after having a number of inquiries about it yesterday, I decided to A/B the Peavey last night against my Thunderfunk TFB550 and my Tech 21 Landmark 300 heads, and in terms of volume and 'punch' (if that makes sense), it wasn't found wanting at all.. Admittedly, it's not as sweet and hi-fi sounding as the Thunderfunk and it doesn't have the drive tones that characterise the Tech 21 head, but it was still very impressive for a 33 year old amp that's going for a song...

Just bought an SWR Triad cab from Andrew who very kindly delivered it in person to me whilst at the South East Bash last Saturday...all the way from Newcastle!! Actually, he was down here on business, but nevertheless, suffice to say that Andrew's a very honest person to deal, his communication is first-rate and the deal was nice and easy...The cab's great too - in really good condition! So - deal with Andrew in complete confidence Folks. Thanks Andrew - look forward to the next one! Nik
16kgs - thanks Nik. I will pass at this weight, which is a shame as it is such a bargain! I suppose you need to weigh up (!) which you need more - this amp or £75.
No problem Paul.. I now have too many amps & cabs so need the space.. But I do feel quite nostalgic about this Peavey Amp for some reason? Possibly because it was the first Amp I bought 10 years ago when I started playing again after a 12 year break.
