I got it in a trade in 2009 for a Fender Jazz 5, and I thought this was by far the better of the two basses in question. Tonally it was really good in either active or passive mode, but the active did offer a more e.q. extended range should you need it. The pickups are indeed Haussel (http://www.haeussel.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=47%3Ajb-pickups&catid=6%3Abass-pickups&Itemid=6&lang=en) and I traded it for a 4 string Jazz + cash a while back.
