  3. Another great deal with Stuart - he is a true Gent & a pleasure to deal with Thanks again Stuart All the best Tim
  4. Has anyone actually played through one of these, or the combo and if so what did you think? As this is the anniversary of my last gig - I was thinking of getting a not too expensive combo for home use, but could also use it for the (very) odd gig??
  5. Thanks Chrismuzz - I've owned a couple of F1's, LMK's LM2's & LM3's in the past & they were all great amps with obviously more power, but I don't rememember any of them being earth shakingly louder than this,
  6. A truly wonderful piece of kit - I've been playing for 40 + years - albeit very badly - and really can't imagine anyone needing anymore volume than this beauty kicks out? According to the man himself the 250 produces almost as much voliume through one 4 ohm, or two 8ohm cabs as the 500 model produces into 8 ohms! In fact if you think you need more volume than this - then you need to DI into the PA. as I can't get the Master volume past half way - without it starting to hurt me old lug holes !! According to a very knowledgeable chappy - on the loudness scale the difference between 250w & 500w is ......... one decibel! - which apparently equates to a very small doormouse passing wind in the field next to the one you are standing in !! - i.e. so going on the fact that say a 200w amp is not twice as loud as a 100w amp (apparently you would need a 1000w to be twice as loud), then trust me - this will give you all the stage power you will probably ever need. Only 8 months old & is the newer model with pre/post EQ DI output with level control, so the PA Guys will love you to bits. I've owned several Markbass amps over the past few years & I'm wondering if they are fitting a new, super dooper fan on the new models - as this seems run much quieter than any of the older ones I've had - so the Guys in the Studio will love you too - Boomshanka !! Will be posted out to you free of charge in the original Markbass Box !! In really good condition & in perfect working order Pics to follow - when I can work my new camera - sorry, I'm very old !! **SOLD** [attachment=128334:Markbass 250 etc 002.JPG] [attachment=128335:Markbass 250 etc 003.JPG [attachment=128336:Markbass 250 etc 004.JPG] [attachment=128337:Markbass 250 etc 005.JPG]

  10. Would love the red CV !! - a heads up if you are using Parcelfarce - the Post Office peeps will sell you enhanced compensation - but if anything happens to the bass - they won't pay a penny over the basic, included insurance of £100, or so I've been told???? off to check the Piggy Bank
  11. Great Guy & a first class - ultra fast service!! Deal with confidence Chaps & Chapesses, Dave is the real deal! Thanks again Dave

  13. Read the Bass Guitar Mag review - just sold mine (due to not gigging) & the buyer plays in a loud Stones tribute band, driving a 1 x15 & a 4 x10 & it more than copes - honest injun !! Great amp with unbelievable features & don't even start me on how good the Toneprint feature is - it's faaaaaaaaaaab !!
  14. Unable to upload pics at present peeps?? - please PM me with your email address and I can send you some, hopefully - thanks
  15. Hello Chaps & Chapesses, due to my gigging days being looooong gone - I can't really justify keeping both this & my fretless fatwire & therefore it is for trade. In really nice condition for it's age with just very light marks here & there - but no chips & the neck is clean. Light swirling on the back - but nothing serious being in used & definately not abused condition. Battery compartment cover fully functioning. Plays like a dream & sounds luverly - having just had a Pro set up. I'm sure you know the script with these beauties - two Jazz pickups, volume, volume and switchable -stacked active bass & treble control. 24 frets double octave fingerboard, through maple neck, Steinbereger - stays in tune forever - tuning system , lightweight, beautifully balanced, fits into a guitar gig bag - got to be one of the best & most underated basses - ever!! I've owned a number of these cheeky chappies over the years and they never let you down plus this is a particularly nice example of this classic bass. Would like to exchange for a nice, quality, lightweight cab - 1 x 10, 1 x12, or would consider other configurations as long as it is light & small - oo me back!! As to the trade value, - pick a number between £225 & £275, but who knows these days ?? Thank you for your time & interest peeps Pics to follow when uploader fixed?? - please PM me with your email address if you want pictures before it's fixed.

  17. When I was a lot younger than I am now, the weight of a bass was never a consideration - however, due to arthritis, neck & back problems, sciatica etc, etc now it is vital!! I love Status Basses & have owned quite a few over the years - the only reason I don't own one at present is the weight of them! I'm sure that if they offered a lightweight version of their wonderful instruments - I can't be the only one who would own one once again & no matter how many superlatives bass reviewers use to describe a bass, if the weight is much above 8lbs, or worse still they don't state the weight - l've lost interest in a nano second, or even a jiffy!! It may be a subject that most bass builders are unaware of - just like how much businesses can lose because they only offer a 0845 contact number - I'm sure I'm not the only scrooge out there either??
  18. To my 'very' old eyes - judging by the pic of the rear of the neck it looks like it's been thinned down from the back at some point, for whatever reason????
  19. Hi chaps, here is my BH250 Head which I bought recently on here. It is a great piece of kit - but as my gigging days are over, someone who 'is' gigging may as well get the best from it! I'm sure you know the script with these babies - plenty loud enough - read the review in Bass Guitar Magazine - small, light & tonally wonderful. The Toneprint is easy to use - even for an old fossil like me & because this has the footswitch, it allows you to store two Toneprints at the same time & instantly switch between them! It is in perfect working order & comes complefe in the original box, with manual, a lead for connecting to a computer to enable downloads of the many standard & custom Toneprints - (you can also use a smartphone to do this}! a lead for connecting to an ipod etc for playing along with - (through a speaker, or silently through headphones)! + the optional extra footswitch & connecting lead at a cost of £39.00. The three buttons on the 'really' well built footswitch are - 1). - Mute - for silent tuning on stage 2), - Toneprint on/off and 3). - Switch between the last two loaded Toneprints - 'fab'!! The amp also features a built in tuner - so that's one less thing to carry around! It looks brand spanking new & the only thing I need to mention is that one of the handles? / control knob protectors has a slight bias towards the controls - but this does not affect any operation of the controls. It really is worth reading the review in Bass Guitar Magazine - as it's the only amp I've seen that they gave full marks to on all levels!! Looking for a firm £215 which is what paid for it. Thanks for your time Guys [attachment=125303:TC Electronic 002.JPG] [attachment=125304:TC Electronic 003.JPG] [attachment=125305:TC Electronic 004.JPG] [attachment=125306:TC Electronic 007.JPG]
