  1. Thanks, you would love this Status - it's a belter ! Good luck with the sale of your Bike All the best, Tim
  2. Hi Guys, Errrrrrrrrr - does anyone wish to swap their fretted Status for my Lined Fretless jobbie ?? - but must be headless like this one. You'd have thought that my 'mates' - having heard me caterwauling on my Squier Fretless - also for sale - strangely enough - would have said - 'buy one with frets if you are going to spend that much money - please'?? I should have realised at my age that a cloth eared old bint like me was never going to master a fretless bass - even 'with' chalk marks !! - I kept thinking 'maybe it will all click tomorrow' - but it never did! I watch in amazement at my friend playing his 6 string fretless - with 'no' chalk marks 'or' side markers!! - how the heck do you fretless Guys do it?? - 'we are not worthy'!! I believe it's a Series 2000 all Graphite beauty in exceptional condition for any age, let alone a 25 year old Classic & very lightweight for a Status - under 9lbs! Fitted with Status Hot Wire black nylon coated strings, so combined with the Graphite neck & Phenolic fingerboard - it's fast & sleek - (obviously 'too' fast & sleek for an old plodder like me) ! Complete with Status 5 Star Full Flightcase. Or would be asking for £875 ovno for a straight sale & will obviously consider a p/x - so W.H.Y?? Pick up prefered, but it's OK if you are a scrillion miles away & wish to arrange your own courier - as my logistics are on a par with my playing ability ! Thanks Guys - sorry to be a pain - 'yet again' !!
  3. Cheers Paul, - thought my previous one was good, but this baby is 'blinking fab' !!
  4. Bump for a great Guy with an unbelievable amp for sale! - I am astounded that this hasn't been snapped up yet - Tiny, powerful & all the tonal range I could imagine anyone ever needing & if the synchro on 2nd gear of my VW?? hadn't decided to 'do it's own thang' - I couldn't have seen me parting with this - ever! In fact the tonal range of this left my Little Mark & Eden amps 'wanting' - well to my old cloth ears anyroad up + I'm way too stupid to have got the best out of the amazing semi - parametric EQ section !!
  5. Now also for sale - as no luck on the swap front !!
  6. Can't believe this hasn't be snapped up yet? - it's a great amp with as much power as you are ever likely to need & is suberb tonally + P is a geat Guy to deal with ! Dip yer bread Guys
  7. Thanks, I think it's an old dog - new tricks deal !! Love Jazzes, played one for 10 years - what's the spec & does it have dots, or blocks?
  8. Hi Guys, I absolutely 'love' this bass - but after playing rosewood fingerboard basses for the last 35 + years - I just can't get used to the maple board & so if anyone has a rosewood board jobbie - in similar condition i.e. - excellent they would like to trade - then please give me a shout?? This is the nicest Ray I've ever played & comes with the original Musicman Hard Shell Case - 3 band EQ, unbelievable low 'playable' action, arrow straight neck, fully functioning 'best ever designed' trussrod & that killer Ray sound - essential - or so I'm told to have in any Bass players corner? Altenatively, if anyone has a 6 screw rosewood board neck they would like to sell/swap - that could be an alternative? and as a last resort I may have to swap or take something else with a rosewood board, or even sell & look out for a rosey one!! Would sell for £750 - firm, either collected in person or by your elected courier?? & would obviously prefer the former - so the buyer can see just how good this is - before parting with their 'hard earned' cash! Looked at new 'on line' prices which all seem to be in excess of £1300 - so it would be hoped this is a bargain - even in these cash strapped days 'nes pas' ?? I'm 5 minutes from J15 of the M6 - as ever!! + there is a better than average chance I will be in Sunny Scotland for a week very soon !! Thanks for looking Guys All the best Tim
  9. What a great Guy Si is - very knowledgable, punctual & a pleasure to deal with !! Thanks again Si - you are a Gent! All the best, Tim
  10. Thanks Loz, it looks even better 'in the flesh' !! - oo-er missus !!
  11. Hi Guys, Circa 1968 Gibson EB2 in great condition for a 43 year old Bass Would ideally like to sell outright - but understnd that things ain't what they used to be & so would consider a p/x if you have something interesting?? or even a trade if you have a headless Status 'with' Trussrod - Kingbass maybe or some such? - or W.H.Y?? Fully operational Trussrod & Mute slide + original case - although the handle has long since worn out & replaced with an 'improvised' jobbie Come & have a try if you like - but due to it's trouser flapping capabilities - maybe you should leave youe 'baggies' at home - in fact maybe 'jeggins' would be a sensible option !! - Having said that, 'modern bass sounds are available' in abundance.
  12. Bought a Peavey TKO from Cai - great combo & he's a great Guy to deal with
  13. Thanks Guys, I've linked them by connecting the effects send from the first amp, to the effects return of the second amp as suggested & I can even use the EQ on both amps with no hum or noise whatsoever!! - just 'how good' is Basschat & 'you Guys' !! Thanks again, Tim
  14. Hated the tone of my Genz Benz Shuttle - it sounded like Sparky's magic piano!
  15. I had a twin channel one of these in the late 70's / early 80's & it was 'fab'!!
  16. Hi Guys, Any suggestions on how I can use two amps without getting the 'buzzing sound' - do I use the D.I. out of one amp into the main input of the other? I tried to connect the tuner output from one amp to the main input of the other - but it was very noisy? Thanks
  17. Thanks Guys, All donations gratefully received

  21. Hi Guys, In terms of loudness/decibels - just how much louder is a 500w amp than a 250w amp?? - I can remember reading somewhere that it would take a 1000w amp to be twice as loud as a 100w amp?? Thanks
  22. PM'd [quote name='tonyf' post='1252272' date='Jun 1 2011, 12:39 AM']All, Up for sale is my ZOOT ZB112NT 1x12 4 Ohm 300w cab. It's a 4 Ohm cab because I specified this with the intention of originally getting a second one to match my EBS head (which goes down to 2 Ohms minimum). Brought it 3 years ago and have gigged with it a couple of times but has had very little use since. It's a fantastic cab. Sounds absolutely brilliant, really punchy, deep lows for such a small cab and light as a very light thing that's been on a diet. Selling it because it's been sat doing nothing as I've got a little Line6 combo for home use. Looking at GAS funds for a RH450. Postage not included as I prefer local pickup rather than couriering it.
