oops sorry !! - but if the light now comes on - you must be heading in the right direction? have you taken the control back plate of to see if any of the wires have become detached? - 'carefully' of course! Don't worry about the battery cover - they are a well known weak spot on the active Jack basses & more are broken - than intact. If you can't see any loose contacts - a good squirt with switch cleaner in both cavities has worked wonders for me in the past. Good luck with the sale - if of course it hasn't sold yet, as at that price - it should have gone days ago!!!! - come on Guys I'd have had this myself if I didn't already own one!!!!! ps - a coupe of years ago I asked several guitar bulders for a quote for a lightweight, headless, thru neck bass, the average quote was around £1600 - albeit with more exotic woods, hardware & electronics etc & although I'm sure they would be superior in every respect to the Hohner - that was way out of my price bracket!!! -

Having owned several Hohner Jack basses - & still own an original passive one - which is fab !! I can not praise these workhorses highly enough!! However, having also owned several Status basses & now being lucky enough to own a Washburn Status S1000 - in my very humble opinion, apart from them both being headless & both having through necks - in every other respect they are like chalk & cheese - i.e. Status pickups, Status active circuitry & the Status phenolic(?) fingerboard alone justify the extra cost of the S1000, plus being a 'low action' freak - I thought I'd got the action on my Hohner as low as I thought was possible on any bass - but I've managed to get the action on the S1000 'even lower'!! However, please forgive my ramblings - this Hohner Jack is an absolute bargain at this price - so don't hesitate - just get it bought, you will not be disappointed & even if you were, you will always get your money back!! Good luck with the sale, but I'm sure you need it - type burmp !! ps - try rubbing the battery compartment copper contacts with a bit of emery cloth - worked on one of mine where the active circuity wasn't working!! pps - I think this finish was very popular a couple of years ago due to the Guy out of Muse using one before he started using Status basses & friend of a friend sold his for £325 on that t'bay!!! -

BH250 Toneprints ................... Help??????

Thank you, very much appreciated - couldn't hear any noise but will try the volume thing tomorrow! -
Hi Folks, can anyone help me please?? I've downloaded the toneprint app.onto an iphone 4s - but when I try to 'beam' it through the pickups to the amp - nothing happens !! I have also tried to load via my google chromebook, & a samsung netbook - with windows 7 starter - but nothing.............help please?? I am very old & a 'card carrying' technophobe so all donations gratefully received - the simpler the better - thank you?? All the best, Tim

Thanks Leakim - great review - once translated !! Would still love to hear from a BC'er who's had a go of either the head, or the combo & how they compared to the amps made in Italy?
-
Has anyone had a play through one of these combos, or the head & what did you think of it??
-
Another great deal with Stuart - he is a true Gent & a pleasure to deal with Thanks again Stuart All the best Tim
-
Has anyone actually played through one of these, or the combo and if so what did you think? As this is the anniversary of my last gig - I was thinking of getting a not too expensive combo for home use, but could also use it for the (very) odd gig??

A truly wonderful piece of kit - I've been playing for 40 + years - albeit very badly - and really can't imagine anyone needing anymore volume than this beauty kicks out? According to the man himself the 250 produces almost as much voliume through one 4 ohm, or two 8ohm cabs as the 500 model produces into 8 ohms! In fact if you think you need more volume than this - then you need to DI into the PA. as I can't get the Master volume past half way - without it starting to hurt me old lug holes !! According to a very knowledgeable chappy - on the loudness scale the difference between 250w & 500w is ......... one decibel! - which apparently equates to a very small doormouse passing wind in the field next to the one you are standing in !! - i.e. so going on the fact that say a 200w amp is not twice as loud as a 100w amp (apparently you would need a 1000w to be twice as loud), then trust me - this will give you all the stage power you will probably ever need. Only 8 months old & is the newer model with pre/post EQ DI output with level control, so the PA Guys will love you to bits. I've owned several Markbass amps over the past few years & I'm wondering if they are fitting a new, super dooper fan on the new models - as this seems run much quieter than any of the older ones I've had - so the Guys in the Studio will love you too - Boomshanka !! Will be posted out to you free of charge in the original Markbass Box !! In really good condition & in perfect working order Pics to follow - when I can work my new camera - sorry, I'm very old !! **SOLD** [attachment=128334:Markbass 250 etc 002.JPG] [attachment=128335:Markbass 250 etc 003.JPG [attachment=128336:Markbass 250 etc 004.JPG] [attachment=128337:Markbass 250 etc 005.JPG]
