  1. Is that driver a match for the one already in the ext cab? If so, why not just put the new one into combo, and leave the ext cab as it is? See if they don't budge... I'd still buy the speaker, and then just sell the one you have once changed over. If the amp is exactly the sound you like, then for a few quid it seems worth it! Although, if Ashdown have admitted an error, then they should be supplying the new one out their pocket!
  2. This for me. They might even admit as an error! Was the amp sold as an 8ohm speaker? Oops... Should've kept reading the thread. I'd definitely be questioning them further... And if you're adamant you want to use it with an ext cab, I'd probably just buy the 8ohm speaker if it came to it.
  3. In fact I just did. I'll let you know next week. 😂
  4. I've no idea the brand but the set I used were cheap and cheerful and to the feel, they played just how I expected! I took them off for a recording gig, but lost them! DoH! Remember to factor in how long they last. Pretty much forever! I'm tempted to get that 15 quid set!
  5. I've not followed this story at all but I'd say if the big companies are struggling, it's more to do with the saturation of brands, mass produced Chinese knock offs that are actually very playable, and just general fashion rather than less students playing!
  6. I agree but the b3n for dirt and preamp 'warmth' is a step up from the ms60b from my experience. It's the first digi pedal I've been happy using distortion! The synths on the zoom range are limited but sound great and track very well! If you A/B'd the other things with dedicated analogue pedals, you'll be right. But personally, the difference is so small noone will really notice! 😅
  7. That'll put most people off this, in my opinion.
  8. It was my octaver for years! Great value pedal!
  9. Sold a pedal board to graeme. Quick payment and hassle free transaction. Pleasure doing business!
  10. Easy and smooth sale, pleasure doing business with.
  11. Quick payment! Pleasure doing business! Thanks
  12. If you're a working musician maybe... I think op is very much a hobbyist.
  13. Not sure why there's even a question mark! When your hobby isn't fun, it's no longer a hobby!
  14. Boxed and works perfectly and can't see any real blemishes on the paintwork. One of the knobs has a slight crack on it but doesnt affect the usage and in fact i only noticed it when i came to inspect the thing for selling it! This is worth £45 just for the octaver in it! I was using it for a project that involved more synthy stuff, and I doubt I'll ever really need it again so grab yourself a bargain! The rubber bottom has been removed to allow for good velcro to be put on, but the bottom comes supplied an instructions etc. £45.00 plus £5.00 p+p to any where in UK. thanks
  15. Warwick rock board Pedal board is 50 x 18cm Case in used but perfectly functioning condition. I've no use for it and its just gathering dust so I'm letting it go free! £15.00 +£5.00 delivered in UK.
  16. Good quality flight case by NSP. Solid and in perfect working order. Its got sign of use, as it has been, but not abused. The pedal board is a couple of mm's shy of being 48 x 34cm and fits the case perfectly. Covered in good quality velcro Literally gathering dust and I think it would be best to go somewhere where it'll get used so hope someone can make use of it! £30.00 + £5.00 postage to uK.
  17. Genuine Scratchplate. Used but seems to be in perfect condition. Came off a Fender US special so should fit almost all Fender jazz basses. I'll probably never swap it back so thought I'd see if anyone has any use for it? £13 Delivered to your UK doorstep? For the price of a non-branded scratch plate, why not have the real thing!
  18. Came off a Fender US special jazz bass. 2nd hand but good condition. There's a tiny amount of blemishing on it but you'd need to really be looking to see it. comes with the screws Rather than it just lying about, thought id see if anyone would make use of it? £10.00 delivered.
  19. Bass collection jazz bass, although the neck might be a bit slimmer
  20. My experience of that song is drummers quite often play it oddly, mainly in the verses...so be prepared to make adjustments! If you don't have a keyboardist and you fancy a wee tapping solo, check out Billy Sheehan on Mr bigs cover. Simple major and minor arpeggios. Pretty much 2 shapes in different positions. Stick a wee boost on and voila, instant keyboard solo done on bass!
  21. It sounds perfectly fine by the way! Don't have an amp head to try it in isolation but as an ext cab for my 1x10 combo it works a treat! What's a pita though is the project I built this for bought some subs for our pa about 2 days after I'd finished it, so i actually don't need it anymore! Everythings through the pa so back to ampless gigging! 😅 oh well, it was a bit if fun!
  22. Oooer what a lovely pair. I'll need to get a p at some point!
  23. Price now 210 delivered to UK With case! Bargain!
  24. Don't get me wrong... Mine plays (played) great and looks lovely, I would just spend over a k slightly differently!
  25. I played one for ten years. Great bass. But I got mine for 540 brand new. And just sold it for a bit less! You'll love it, and the looks will get you compliments even when the playing won't... Trust me I know! 😅 😅
