There were soooo many basses to try - I got to play maybe six? Next year make it a two dayer - should be able to make it around the whole room then! On a serious note (bah doom tshh) what about upping the headphone count, like bring your own cans type of thing, so you can hear a bit more of what you are playing? There were moments I thought my brain might liquify there was that much low frequency energy knocking about! Or is that sacrilegious crazy talk?

All I can tell you is that it was bought new in Germany, before its owner (my uncle) went to live in the States in around 1996! The BadAss was fitted 10 yrs later when my first go at a build was broken down for parts (a sad day). It looks better with the original bits back on - what was I thinking?!?! Pretty sure I put the serial number in to an online decoder years ago and it told me the factory it was built in (can’t remember now though) so maybe try that too? Glad your happy with it! I’ve started concocting all sorts of strange mod ideas for the tele!

Seeing in the flesh was immense. The lines & curves - even my wife wanted one, and she doesn’t even play!

Just to echo what everyone else said - cheers @scrumpymike and gang. Oh and I wish I had the dough for your headless Hohner Jack - it fit like a glove! Hopefully it’ll still be available at the end of the month. Thanks to @yorks5stringer for the swap - I’m very happy with my new bass! A mate popped over this evening and used it to work out a couple of riffs/incidental pieces for some short he’s working on - very cool. Brilliant to talk to the all the builders, too. I still can’t believe my wife was encouraging me to buy one of @Jabba_the_gut‘s marvelous creations (ignoring the lack of funds element). She’s after something, that one...

Love the look of that bass. What neck is on it? I’m guessing the tape is to stop string/pole piece contact clicks noises? I did the same with a P bass til I got some completely enclosed covers. Love that bass!

Whilst packing my bits for tomorrow, I got to thinking “maybe I should have bought my 2nd One10 to match the first”. Anyone bringing a black One10 with silver grill cloth they fancy swapping for my tweedy?! Just a thought.

I just googled it - looks like there is a fair bit of pink streaks about. Maybe you beat the pink out of the wood?

I made a hifi shelf unit out of piranha pine about 20 years ago - that had pinkish streaks. Maybe it’s that?

Modular 4x10 - nice! Is that the 500 or 800 sitting atop? I have the little 350 and 2x One10s but thinking of getting a head with more oomph.

I might bring my Peterson P150 combo along too, as I’m thinking about selling it.

Bass can be an derrière to get “right” sound-wise recording, but live performances in general lift a piece of music. Just try programming any well known highly repetitive song via midi only, and it just turns to poop. It’s all about The performance.

What ever that bass is, it’s great! So much so, there’s a Monty Python style hand pointing it out.

Nice! I’d often thought about using car amps. Nice to see it implemented, and so well too!

I had a weird sound with my One10. Alex and co were ace in helping me diagnose the issue. Turned out it wasn’t the cab!

I can’t answer your questions, but I can think people will as this; If it goes well, would you do other people’s at a price? If yes to the above, where are you based?
