  1. Funnily enough, I’ve got a gig as a drummer, where I’ve been a bassist forever. Looking forward to the switcheroo. It’ll be temporary, of course. Unless I join drumchat, then develop an insatiable thirst for the ultimate drum tone, buying and selling and fretting over tiny details that no one will notice.
  2. That’s the nicest Mustang colour combo I’ve seen! Unfortunately I’m on a “no more basses” order from Mrs Pea Turgh.
  3. Nooooo!!!!!
  4. I would have paid £150 if it felt good. But hey, if someone will pay £1k, good on them.
  5. Just out of interest really - I was reading opinions on how the old ones were the best sounding bass amps ever made, and wondered how close the new ones came to that accolade. I’m not thinking of buying a new one, and I definitely couldn’t justify owning/maintaining an old one. I’ll carry on with my little pf350 for the foreseeable as I’m only doing pub gigs and weddings 😁
  6. I’d just been reading about B15’s & B12’s, then thought of this thread. Sorry if this has already been covered, but wattage aside, are these new valve heads recreations, reimaginations or just looky likeys of those old 60’s beasts?
  7. Looks like copper to me - seems to be a bit of green on the top left edge. It would certainly make a good fixer-upper if the neck is sound!
  8. The angled sides make me think of Bugera though. It would, er, sound better if it was flat fronted.
  9. Holy cow - that's atrocious! That's how I expected my Thomann deko to look (but it didn't!). That was sold as new?!?!
  10. What a fantastic learning tool - it hums the tune to you when you forget!!!
  11. I read the thread title as “feathers” earlier, and “Fenders” this evening. 1. Zero fret 2. ultralight tuners 3. rolled edge fretboards 4. the ability to balance (two strap buttons on symmetrical body or one offset on a non-symmetrical boy like wot Tobias used to do) whilst still being plugged in.
  12. Two One10’s will sound awesome. I just started using both all the time (two Marshall 4x12’s to contend with) hence my want of a Two10. Heck, if I’m flush I might just get a Four10 and be damned with the roof!
  13. I had 2 x One10’s before but had to sell them when I was skint. The cabs were great, and the customer service was top notch. Looking forward to getting another!
  14. After straining my back again last night loading in, I really want to get the Two10 ASAP! Will start saving...
  15. Just about to go on with my two latest basses (P-bass bitsa and Hohner Jack) and my freshly refurbished Bayma-loaded Peavey cab...
  16. I’m thinking I have enough now, maybe even one too many for now. I’ll never be shot of the JV. It’s perfect! The black bitsa needs some tweaks but I feel will be a great player once the nut is done. My new headless is so comfortable to play, and is conveniently small and light! Th lovely blue HB originally done by @yorks5stringer is possibly going to be on the bench a bit more these days. Hmm. Could put a Stingray pickup in and make it a bit uniquerer?
  17. G’day, mate. I’m Welsh.
  18. Distance selling rules - just go for it and send it back if you don’t like it. Hell, for that price I’m considering it an I don’t even need a new amp!
  19. Nut width 38mm, but the strings are a mere 29mm centre to centre! The bridge spacing is cosy too.
  20. #metoo
  21. No likey words. Need see piccies.
  22. Dammit - I tugged on it thinking it was a spacer or something. I guess it shouldn’t come out then?
  23. Bought a Hohner Jack from Mike I’d been wanting for some time. Mike is an absolutely lovely bloke, and has been very patient and accommodating in my prolonged enquiry, to eventual purchase and then collection of said-instrument! Thank you Mike!
  24. Only thing that’s puzzling me though is what is going on in the battery compartment? Any ideas?
