  1. What cabs are they?
  2. What will the pedal do?
  3. Cryptic Instagram post. Man, I hope it’s a bass amp that sits perfectly atop my vertically oriented Two10! Spill the beans, @alexclaber!!!
  4. Absolutely!
  5. I’m selling some bits so I can see about buying Gareth’s other one of those! I thought the slightly off-white controls and pickup covers would contrast nicely with a black scratchplate.
  6. @metermanThat looks lush!
  7. So heavy, the sheer gravity of the rig prevented you from taking a photo?! Come on man, you knows the rules - pics or it didn’t happen!
  8. They do fit together, albeit a little loosely. Basically I made a bitsa, nearly finished it, then came to the realization that my skills did not meet my expectations, so I decided to sell it. With a little work, it could probably be a really nice instrument. Unfortunately I am not the one to complete it!!! My finish probably needs to be started again.
  9. Only gone and ordered another set for my bitsa!
  10. Here’s an excellent quality Ki0gon loom, attached to a three hole tele-bass chrome plate. Wired V/V on the stacked knob, with tone on its own (I can’t remember why I spec’d it in such an unusual layout!) Quality wiring/pots/Jack, and screw terminals so you don’t have to solder a thing! Priced for the loom, with plate and postage free!

  11. *** Sold in just over 2 hrs!! *** Had these for a bit, but prefer a mellower sound, so offered here for sale. Included - original box, wiring diagram, screws, foam blocks. Happy to answer any questions. Price includes Royal Mail delivery.
  12. Pulled from a Squire, probably Affinity. Does the job! Price includes postage (Royal Mail first class).
  13. Might have been your positive words on them that made my mind up to try them @Lozz196!
  14. The Toneriders arrived just now. They fit! And my oh my, they sound gooood!!! Perfectly balanced sonic spectrum. Warm, articulate. I’m a convert, and I now have the perfect bass. The end.
  15. I’m no woodworker, but 1.5” is already a suitable body thickness. 3” would be huge and heavy!
  16. I know gold anodized plates can be divisive, so just to say I already have one, and I very much like it! I bought it for my JV P (maple board, sunburst - classic). Also on my JV P were some Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders, but they don’t fit the aesthetic, and are a bit too “in yer face” (esp with the maple board), so I decided to swap them over with my bitsa pups, as I reasoned that they would sit better in a rosewood-boarded instrument. Thank goodness for @KiOgon looms! However, I can’t get the (temporary) squire pups that were in my bitsa in to the pup cutouts on the scratchplate. The corners of the pup corners seem to be too sharp/square. I’ve placed an order for some Tonerider pickups, and I’m really hoping they fit as-is - I really don’t want to start filing the plate. Anyone else had issues with different pups in an anodized plate?
  17. He’s a bass player with a Fender endorsement deal. I think...
  18. Some of those tones are well nice. Lovely colour, too.
  19. I love a high quality bitsa - nice one 👍🏻
  20. My local tech advised against it for my Peterson, but it’s almost as old as me. Conversely, the little Ampeg PF valve amps are ok with no speakers.
  21. The Hoff’s just built a house down the Mumbles, Swansea! Love the Hoff!
  22. Wasn’t happy with the pickups (£12 off eBay - who could have predicted?), not happy with the finish on the neck, neck pocket, the fact that it’s not a Jaguar 😂 I had my eye on something else in the classifieds too, so selling some bits including this. Thought it would be more worthwhile as parts than as an unfinished project. Onwards and upwards!!
  23. Update: My mediocre skills don’t match up to my high quality control expectations, so this is now being parted out! Head over to the classifieds to find the bones of your next build 😂
  24. Bought for a project I could not complete, so offered up for sale here. Lovely smooth action, silky to the touch, quality items. 14mm or 9/16th” holes needed. £40 inc postage.
  25. My prediction I this winter will be terrible, but it will subside by spring. Then reappear in time for autumn.
