I play in a prominent Northern Soul covers band.... We have had this discussion a few times.... I'm convinced its Don Ciccone. He was the main bassist over this period... but can't find hard evidence

Are you asking them to learn 30 songs for an audition?

When I was looking after distribution of Tech Sound Systems (Tecamp) back in the Early 90's I had one of their 6 x 12" cabs and a Parametric head.... played with a 5 string neck though Warwick Thumb. It was an immense sound but controlled and in line with that elusive bass sound I had in my head. Was no good for smaller gigs though

It does seem to happen quite a lot.... I was looking at Apple TV units on there recently. 2nd hand ones selling for more than new price, very strange

I'd say if you can go with IEM do it.... it's way better than floor monitors and a lot less to carry around. We spent a fair amount getting a decent set up though but it was worth it. Using a mix of wireless and hard wired (drums/Keys) kept the cost down a bit and we all run our own tablet with the mix app so we have control over individual mixes..... No feedback, no volume issues.

[/quote] I have no issues doing this with the DI. What I've found to be of benefit with the DI is a hot input signal. Especially with passive basses.... I use a status which has an 18v pre and that goes a long way to helping get the best out of the unit.... of course I don't know if its the same with the FI as I'm waiting to receive my order
