1. Our Keys player has a duo playing all 80's electronica, they are called Kraftpunk
2. Great live band.... dont think the telly does them any justice at all. I do think they should give their keys guys a bit more credit though..... at least let him take a bow at the end of the set
3. Depends on how they have weighted that particular device.... each one is venue/area dependant so not many are the same. As a rule if its one thats tripped easy then make sure you take a load of bass out of the mix as lower frequencies are where the problem is going to be. We play venues all over the country with these installed.... you just have to adapt to the circumstances or not take the gig.
4. Depends on the band.... On average around these parts (Essex) the average pub band can take between £250-£350..... those that have a good pull for the bar can look at £5-600.
5. AKG C411 + Beyer M201 works great. Just balance to taste
6.
I think I see what you did there!
Shamone!
7.
surely it would have been better to choose a more 'off-the-wall' candidate?
Michael Jackson? He's dead too unfortunately
8. Due to the amount of kebabs and currys we eat when touring I said we she change our bands name to Arse Wind & Fire
9. Northern Soul Band - Turning My Heartbeat Up - MVP's Disco Band - I want your love/Good Times Soul Band - Somebody Else's Guy/Never Too Much Function Band - Usual drunken sh*t.... Jump/Sex On Fire
10. I've had mine a while now and its done around 60 shows..... biggest downfall for me are the tuners and the height of the pre-amp knobs. other than that pretty sweet bass for the money
11. Not in Ongar but we are at The Borough Hotel in Southend on 14th May or on the main Stage at the Brentwood Festival on Sunday July 17th
12. We've been running A&H QU series desks for a while and they are solid. We've just purchased an additional QU-PAC which is excellent but might be outside of your budget
13. Cheers dude... though the line up is slightly different now. Thats not me on bass as that video was recorded before I was a permanent member. Lee Bonnington on vocals in the Video. The band now has a core of musicians and we have three or four vocalists that we use... We are playing all over the place (Hamburg next week) at the moment so best check the facebook page for local dates https://www.facebook.com/TheSignaturesNorthernSoulBand

15. I think that you will be disappointed going from a 15 to a 12" To get a decent kick you are gonna really need two of these together. I'd say minimum you need to stick with a 15" cab that has a decent power stage in it and you are still going to be in the 50-70Ib region of weight.
16. We just got confirmed for The Brentwood Festival which is nice an local for a change. http://brentwoodfestival.co.uk/
17. Bev..... Gotta be. https://youtu.be/YnMkRWGju1g
18.
Is that second pic the New World hotel and wedding venue in Warley?
No it was a place down in Clifton, bristol right by the suspension bridge
19. I think with the function band we get to play some lovely places in the UK.... nice old stately homes, churches, stages, venues, front rooms and even a sports changing room
20.
On a recent thread it was suggested that 3 up-tempo/dance tracks together is the limit, and that you should have something a bit more chilled after each group of 3 energetic songs.
Must be for those 'SAGA' gigs..... ) Our set is pretty much two and a half hours of uptempo disco.... only real slowy we play is either Let's get it on or Let's stay together, neither of which are particularly slow..... One slow song I still see a lot of weekend warriors playing is Zombie.....
21.
I don't get it..........The idea is to adjust the sound from onstage?
No its not. The idea is that you can adjust the FOH from anywhere in the room.....
22. Didn't Jaz Lochrie do a lot of work after the album came out....
