Unfortunately that's exactly how most bass players rate amps, blame the companies that market them that way. It didn't help that the Superfly sounded a bit underpowered if just used with a single cab that wasn't particularly sensitive, so buyers with a less than stellar single cab would have been a bit underwhelmed with their new 500w amp. I got enough volume for rehearsals out of mine with a decent Deltalite equipped 1x10 but had mixed results with other cabs. At the end of the day they have to slap some sort of power rating on it and I think if you'e producing an amp that only gets it's max rating with a cab configuration most players don't have then it's safe to just rate it like they have done.
-
Presumably they're quoting what it puts out with 2 x 8ohm loads as it has two separate power sections. Not a bad idea really, I can remember when Ashdown released the Superfly/Little Giant heads and people were a bit annoyed when they realised they'd be unable to get the full power output from their new amps as they didn't own 2 x 4ohm cabs. Better to under promise and over deliver sort of deal.

I use those for my EHB as well, they come free with most of the GS stands I think. One thing to note is that if you have a very old Hercules stand or mount (mine is ancient, like almost 20 years old!) then the arms are a little too wide and long for a comfortable fit. I cut the NINA things down a bit so they'd fit and put up with needing to brace the stand with one hand when removing the bass.

According to this thread the Hercules GS414B Plus stand is long enough: https://forum.warwickforum.com/threads/the-buzzard-brothers.3123/page-24 https://herculesstands.com/international/products/fretted-and-bowed-instrument/guitar/single-stands/gs414b-plus Looks close though and on the wonky side:

Yeah they definitely need to sort that, roughly half the people with the C2 use them vertically.
-
I hate it when people post pics of a red C2, I already have a great micro setup but it just makes me want to buy one along with a BAM200 for no other reason than it would look fantastic.
-
Review up: Looks quite cool and sounds ok but seems to be just another standard cheapy with a poorly finished neck and rubbish pots.
-
Just buy another bass, then when you're using the Ibanez you can put that on the hanger so it looks better.
-
Nux also do a mini combo, 6.5" driver but overall size is not PJB/MB tiny. Built in bluetooth like the X4 though and lots of eq options, £200 from CPC: https://cpc.farnell.com/nux/mighty-bass-50bt/mighty-bass-50bt-amplifier-with-digital-effects-60w/dp/ls06045

Yeah I quite like the battery arrangement, more secure as the batteries can be knocked loose on the Behringer. The belt clip is a better design as well I think. Can't grumble for £13 delivered, only took 9 days to arrive as well.
-
Knock off Behringer P2 arrived, just briefly compared it to my real Behringer unit and it seems to be extremely similar in performance, just as much headroom. Will open it up later on and get some gut shots.

I'd hunt arount for a used MB Micromark, a PJB M7 or PJB X4. You sometimes see the PJB BG-75 for around £250ish too. There's a Micromark for £200 on Facebook right now.

Nash relics are pretty much always awful, those are no exception. The only realistic relics I've seen have been quite mild - dings around the edges, slightly worn finish and dulled hardware without going overboard.
-
Frequently see used TC Bg combos for around the price of a new Rumble, sometimes under £100. Will be much more useful than a mine practice amp and has built in effects and a tuner. The previously mentioned Hartke Kickback (and also the larger A series) are also excellent if you see one come up for sale.

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1221745602357472/ Beast of a budget rig, think these cabs got some surprisingly favourable comments on here when they were cleared out off a bit ago.
-
I'd be surprised if there's anything better than the ZS10 for the measly £25 they cost me and for a lot of people that low price (along with the Behringer belt pack) is the little push they need to make the jump. I don't think I'd have convinced the entire band to go IEM if it hand't cost them just £55 each to kit themselves out, plus if you do upgrade later down the line you have a perfectly serviceable spare. Nothing to lose really and they starter kit reccomended on here has been a huge benefit to me and the rest of the band.

Whirlwind do one in a belt pack format, eye wateringly expensive but looks ideal until you realise it's external power only.
-
Not a belt pack (it's nearly half a kilo) and also not cheap but there's a wired compact headphone amp with a switchable optical limiter here: https://www.runwayproaudio.com/rolls_pm55p_personal_monitor_amp.htm

Yes I remember the thread on it, very similar to my Hondo which has an AliExpress Epi bridge. Funnily enough I weighed mine tonight as I'm putting it up for sale - 10.5lb/4.7kg! Just out of interest what does the switch do?
-
The one available for sale now is the snappily named PNB14E-OPN which is cheaper, has a bound fingerboard/body and is made in Indonesia. The Artwood versions (AVNB1E and AVNB1FE) were Chinese and look a lot nicer IMO. I had the cheaper one but returned it due to finish flaws and a poor fret job but it was a Thomann B stock, other people have had no issues with theirs. Eventually picked up the AVNB1E which is superb with excellent fit and finish. Harley Benton also do a 24" scale travel bass for less, looks a bit nicer than the cheapest Ibanez as well: https://www.thomann.co.uk/harley_benton_gs_travel_e_bass_mahogany.htm

Warning.... Kappalite 3015 NOT designed for Bass!
lemmywinks replied to skidder652003's topic in Amps and Cabs
I was looking at the C3 Picasso but wanted as much headroom/visibility as possible, ended up with a Fiat Qubo which is a Fiesta sized van that has foldable/removeable rear seats. Was trying to convince Mrs Lemmywinks to get a C3 last time she was car shopping but she keeps buying these little hobbit cars I have to fold myself in half to get in. My rule now is that if it doesn't also function as a van I'm not interested! -

I just kinda assumed everyone on here had a Berlingo tbh. -
I had the Batking one, cool little thing that does a very good impression of an upright. One thing I would say though is if you want a fretless acoustic sound and feel but in a tiny package then they probably won't be what you're after. A better option might be getting one of the Ibanez Parlour basses (or similar Taylor GS Mini clones) and defretting it, even better finding one of the old Ibanez Artwood versions which had a fretless option. They're 24.5" scale, have bronze wrapped nylon strings and sound beautiful.

What desk are you using? The XR18 has compression for each aux fader and there's also a limiter in the effects which you can apply to your aux feeds.
