  1. Thinking about this isn't it about time manufacturers give us modern features on basses? A decent internal battery and a little discreet screen on the upper edge showing the remaining battery level with a built in tuner wouldn't go amiss.
  2. Right angle option here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001762409569.html
  3. 78p on AliExpress: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003437763396.html
  4. Can't really make it out in that pic, which video is it from?
  5. Behringer kit has a habit of creeping into everybody's setup, the sign of a worthwhile brand IMO. Using an XR18, Xenyx 302USB, P2 and BD121 at the moment, all bought because they do the job I need them to.
  6. Best: - Cort GB Modern 5 off here - Memory foam tips for the KZ IEMs (from the KZ AliExpress store) - Lekato WS-90 wireless bug - TGI Extreme gigbag - the standard for road worthy gigbags on a budget - East Uni Pre - instantly improves any bass by 62% (science) - PJB C8 Lite and TC BH800 off here - needed a small, light, loud and great rehearsal rig on the cheap, BC came through Worst: - Cort GB Modern 5 from GuitarGuitar x 3 - Sonicake B Factory from their eBay store - nicked or lost by Evri - East Uni Pre - having heard one I need to buy another two now which isn't cheap - Lekato wireless XLR - no line level pad option so doesn't like my IEM feed out of the box
  7. I had this issue with shops in my area, spoke to Thomann and they sent me a label to collect from my address. Been going on for ages and Thomann are aware of it.
  8. @3below bought a box of junk from me, nice bloke to deal with!
  9. Always confuses me when shops offer a paltry discount on damaged or faulty goods, I guess Thomann will get all their money back from the courier and have an entire department to sort that process but still not a particuarly effective way to go about things.
  10. The issues people had with the RH450 weren't related to how loud it is, more down to what it does in order to attain that volume given its low power rating. Definitely one to try out to see if you like it or not as it has a baked in sound which may suit you or may not. Both my amps are TC (BH series) but I didn't like the RH much when I tried one. The RS cabs are decent and light years ahead of the BC cabs which sound like they're underwater, a little bulky and heavy by modern standards though. Very cheap on the used market as are the K series. Other contenders for the low price, high power micro amp segment would be the Harley Benton 800B and the Bugera Veyron M/T amps.
  11. If you can't find one then I'd just put regular battery terminals in there and make a cover to screw into the existing holes.
  12. They used to be like this - two of those like the ones I linked to: Then they changed to a screw on plate which looks to be what they use now according to Andertons: It would help if you took a picture.
  13. They've changed the battery cover/box over the years, it it the rounded slim one like this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002732904622.html
  14. Well that's my route to billionaire status well and truly scuppered then. They're even in my county, probably overheard me murmuring about it in my sleep.
  15. See, it's a great idea!
  16. My amazing and totally infallible idea is a drum kit with quick release rims that can be stored/transported like Russian dolls. I mention this to drummers every time I help them carry their kit but they just look at me like I'm a total moron.
  17. Still might buy one tho...
  18. I've seen those, they look a lot like the Sire ones. Have you tried one?
  19. These are the most fun basses going, not a novelty either as they sound fantastic with a surprising amoung of low end volume. Mine sits next to the sofa and gets played all the time.
  20. Little passive unit, takes one of the little mini jack piezo inputs so solder free as well. New sticky pad on the cable clip, comes with screws.
  21. I'd just get on AliExpress and search "waterproof hard case" tbh, most of the cheaper generic rugged cases are just rebadged imports. You'll be shocked at how cheap they are if you buy them from China yourself. Just measure up the internal dimensions you need and spend a bit of time searching. If you find one with crazy postage then just keep looking, will likely be free with a different seller. Case E here has an inner size of 40cm x 15.5cm x 10cm if that's enough height for you and will be around £17 delivered after taxes: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004953007925.html
  22. Ouch. I think we have to just accept that all our larger online stores here are just box shifters, no new goods are going to be checked and end of line clearance sales are basically customer returns. The idea of ordering a few and keeping the best one is sound IMO, online retailers have basically brought this on themselves.
  23. Fretless acoustic bass with coated nylons is such a great sound. When I took those horrible bronze clangy things off my acoustic, defretted it and stuck a set of nylon coated strings on it was an "ahhh, that's what acoustic basses are for" moment. Great score for £40 as well.
