  1. You can get clones of the East knobs on AliExpress, sometimes Guyker branded. They're just as good (I have both) and actually in stock when you need to buy them. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001707768926.html https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002683252060.html
  2. Just spotted a B Stock one of these for £20 off in the G4M sale: https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/LA-Select-Bass-Guitar-by-Gear4music-Denim-Burst-Nearly-New/5C3A
  3. Quite like that, has the same finish on my old Hondo Pro:
  4. This is actually the origin story of Wishbass.
  5. Have my Ibanez EHB1505 in one of these, great bags.
  6. The best thing about AliExpress is that they'll usually use Evri Cai Niao when it arrives in the UK, so if you pick the option of delivery to a Parcelshop (and you should as they'll lose it, nick it or punt it over someone else's fence otherwise) then it'll take them ages and you get a £1 late delivery coupon per item. I order a lot of cheaper Choice items regularly which all arrive in one bag so for a single £10 or so order I get a handful of £1 vouchers to use. Coupled with the coins I have on there (tap the collect coins every day and you get a few hundred) it'll halve the tax on smaller orders.
  7. Yeah 20% VAT is added at the point of sale, unless the item is declared* as over £135 that's all you pay. *It never is
  8. Wait until you meet the "that looks too fresh to be original '64 solder" brigade....
  9. You can pan certain instruments to the left or right, it's much better. I use a mono IEM feed at the moment and I do miss stereo, not as much as I thought I would but given the option I'd definitely go stereo if possible.
  10. Yeah that's the one, will end up a quid or two more after tax. Bargain really.
  11. Like Fender but better: Honourable mentions to Bolin and Warwick. Always liked the original Zoot headstock too, nice and dinky.
  12. The AliExpress copy is fine, mine was about £13 and performs the same as the Behringer. The belt clip is a better design, the battery access (while not being perfect) is also better IMO.
  13. If you Google "6.35mm 7 pin headphone" you can find a few, make sure you pick one with a taller base as most look like they sit flush with the PCB, yours is raised a little. The type B one here might work, then again it might not. Surely half the fun is finding out? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33011028130.html EDIT Cheaper here. plus it's a Choice item so you can buy another £6 worth of tat to get free shipping: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32756981350.html
  14. Looks like the generic AliExpress locks which are actually pretty good, I have a set on my spare bass: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005511702606.htm
  15. Was looking at these a while ago, pickups aren't standard 5 string size IRCC, do they catch the B and G strings ok? Ebonol is such an underrated fretboard material, a real shame it fell out of fashion. I have an ebonol board fretless that's seen off some very expensive basses with boutique fingerboards, regardless of what electronics I put in that bass it just nails the sound I want.
  16. Bought Brian's TGI Ultimate gigbag, nice guy to deal with and it was posted very quickly. Very nice gigbag as well!
  17. Just taken delivery of a TGI Ultimate, it's 3.2kg / 7lb
  18. Could you just pinch the saddles of one of the vintage styled bridges, like this? https://northwestguitars.co.uk/collections/bass-bridges/products/hosco-vintage-style-4-string-bass-bridge-with-threaded-saddles
  19. I've just snagged the TGI Ultimate for sale here so will give that a weigh on Thursday.
  20. Gator Pro Go Deluxe - 3.9kg / 7.7lb Gator Pro Go X / Transit - 2.45kg / 5.4lb TGI Extreme - 1.87kg / 4.1lb Also the Gator Pro Go Deluxe guitar gigbag for the headless users - 3.1kg / 6.9lb
