Is that the broader neck version?

If you need a bag for it the Gator 0909 fits perfectly btw: https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/product/gator-9″-x-9″-mini-amplifier-bag/

Great little heads really, still tiny without sacrificing features. I left the Spectracomp on mine after doing the obligatory tour of Toneprints, nice bit of icing on an already tasty cake. Not sure where the HPF is at but it definitely seems higher than on the more powerful versions. It's worth watching the Uriah Duffy video (or just reading the manual) regarding the eq points btw as they cut and boost at different frequencies. Bass cuts/boosts at 80hz/100hz, mid at 500hz/800hz and treble at 1.5khz/5khz. https://mediadl.musictribe.com/download/software/tcelectronic/tc_electronic_bh250_bg250-208_manual_english.pdf

You can still buy the Presys+, manual here: https://www.fishman.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Presys-Plus-User-Guide.pdf There are a lot of clones around, think yours looks like a legit older model though but could be wrong.

The LED turns red to indicate clipping on these I think, the manual has always been a bit misleading and they never changed it.

Christ I still have nightmares about my first amp, wouldn't have it back for free!

When I had my 1212r many moons ago I played with a deafeningly loud drummer, it just handled every gig without breaking a sweat.

Carefully oversprayed on the boring bits ...

Just an AliExpress bass that, for some reason they come like that from the factory: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005492095739.html They'll do a normal finish as well: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005226121076.html- 1 reply

Yeah that's a great price.

It should have been designed with a Speakon from the beginning IMO, all bass amps should. The panel mount Speakons don't take up that much room, just different dimensions really and it looks like there's free space in both amps, particularly the BAM. It's just penny pinching IMO, hopefully they do a board revision and sort it out.

Yeah that's why I said it's a cost saving measure, although TC are owned by Behringer so I assume it's not saving as much as we think. For me it's a convenience issue, it's small head like that might come in handy for home use or rehearsals. Having to carry a dongle around with me or buy a different cable would mean it's much less convenient that it might seem. When I used my BH250 for rehearsals I modded it by swapping the Speakon out for a Speakon combo purely so I could take a single Speakon-Jack cable to practice and use whatever cabs were provided, that's how much I hate dongles!
-
Here's the Elf and BAM, I think it's possible especially on the BAM as it has a bit more height. Was probably a cost saving measure:

They really need to start putting a speakon combi jack on these little heads,

Loopholes still exist because politicians are complicit in tax dodging, probably because their benefactors demand it. Bezos isn't breaking the law but he is a corrupt scumbag who would take your last £1 to add to his hoarded wealth. So are his enablers.
-
I don't use Amazon for that exact reason, just pointing out alternative sources for those that do.
-
They also have the BH250 at £179 if you want something a bit larger but more versatile, has a Speakon, tuner and a single Toneprint knob. The BAM200 is also available through TC's Amazon Store for the same price and from G4M for £6 more. Weirdly The TC store has the BQ250 at £286 and its bigger brother the BQ500 at £199

That old problem of missing notes when playing

Just get good at staying relaxed and masking your errors, sometimes I play a perfect gig and sometimes not. Turn a fail into a fill! -
Bought a nice Levys strap from Iain, nice guy!

Intriguing if not very attractive headless fretless
lemmywinks replied to tauzero's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
Once again I'm amazed that someone with decent woodworking skills can be happy with that shape as their final design. -
Yeah you can when he has them in stock, which isn't often. I was after some for my Ibanez a few years back, put my email down for a stock notification but never heard anything so just bought the Guyker ones instead. Just had a look now and pretty much everything is out of stock.
-
You can get clones of the East knobs on AliExpress, sometimes Guyker branded. They're just as good (I have both) and actually in stock when you need to buy them. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001707768926.html https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002683252060.html
