  1. Blowing’ in the wind- Bob Dylan
  2. I think that colour is very similar to what they used to call blonde on the Telecaster bass in the 70s. If you Google Teles there are several photos that look similar.
  3. As this just came as a trade and I haven’t had one for a while this is the 4th I have owned, but over a very long period. Nice weight 3.9 kg and a very easy playing neck. Hope to have some fun with it.
  4. Blue wasn’t on my radar but this one came as a trade and I rather like. Metallic blue which doesn’t show in the photo.
  5. Glad you like it David. Looks good with the MVP. 👍🏼
  6. Had an absolutely first class trade with David, great chat on line, met up for the hand over after David had a long drive and I was late - sorry!

Maybe this would be better in David's feedback thread?

  7. You’re so vain - Carlie Simon
  8. Blues song writers will probably not be sued as they didn’t make any money from royalties.
  9. Don’t you lie to me - Tampa Red
  10. Reach for the sky - Firehouse
  11. Will the circle be unbroken - The Carter Family
  12. My Gibson EB 2013 5 string is a light 3.5kg and the later versions with a more pointed body are the same. Great pickups with pull pots to change from humbucker to single coil J type.
  13. And I’ve got the fretless version on sale here for £475. I’d do you a trade as well.
  14. Eye of the tiger - Survivor
  15. Can I ask another, probably silly question. Does the bow quiver have to be leather, or can my missus knock one up in fabric on her sewing machine?
  16. Thanks @zbd1960, so I won’t warm it, but I guess a new bow and new rosin just needs a lot of rubbing! May be like with a lamp, I need to say abracadra. 🤔😆l
  17. Thank you @Bloopdad1, that’s helpful. I bought Hidesine deluxe all weather bass rosin. It’s still pretty hard, but I have touched it up a bit with a key as someone suggested. However I can’t see rosin on the bow and it doesn’t seem sticky. It’s okay for a very short while, rosin dust appears on the strings and body of my NXT and then seems to go quiet. Do you think it would help to soften the rosin a bit, can one do that in a microwave ( for a very short time obviously).
  18. Glad you’re pleased with it. I suspect they are a bit marmite, not my cup of tea.
  19. Definitely no.
  20. What cha gonna do about it - Small Faces
  21. Cry me a river - Julie London
  22. Looks like a small shim job to me.
  23. Dock of the bay - Otis Redding
