  1. Only ever heard of 2 of them. This is so subjective and depends on tastes in music. So in my view is probably a completely irrelevant poll.
  2. I got my USA made Gibson EB5 for about the money you’re talking about. They’re so underrated but brilliant to play and a premium brand. Worth looking for.
  3. I hope you’ve got a strong back and shoulders as they are boat anchors.
  4. I assume it’s a semi your after and short scale. Have you looked at the Guild, there’s a thread on here, reasonable price ,retro looks and decent price.
  5. The hippy hippy shake - Swinging Blue Jeans. (Again) I thought Shakin’ all over was Johnny Kidd and the Pirates
  6. Hideous. Schoolboy woodworking class project.
  7. Looks the biz! Are you enjoying playing a semi?
  8. Got mine last night too and have just had a run through. Complicated this week by having to stop playing part way through the service to get in the baptismal pool to help baptise 3 friends, get out, dry off, change clothes and play the rest of the service!
  9. Put a beer in their hand and tell him/her about the nice lady/ gentleman (depending on their taste) at the bar who’d like a word.
  10. How do voo doo what voo doo to me - Gerry & the Pacemakers
  11. Together in electric dreams - Philip Oakey & Georgio Moroder
  12. Fantastic value basses, great quality, nice finish. GLWTS

  14. That definitely needs a gloss finish, then it will look reasonable period correct. That graining is excellent but it needs a really smooth finish to complement it. When I had a lower model Roadstar fretless which originally came black gloss,I stripped it and finished it in a natural using boiled linseed it looked great even though it was only a sort of plywood body.
  15. I suspect it worked better than the later little bit of wire grounding strip. When I ha one (a ‘96) the hum under some lights was terrible, leading me to believe the earth strip didn’t work very well.
  16. I’m surprised the strap broke, mine seems pretty tough, but I guess I only carry out to the car and then into the venue.
