  1. I have it in my right so doesn’t seem to affect me too much. However a while ago it was very painful and I couldn’t grip properly. My GP arranged a steroid injection which ws initially even more painful and then like magic no more pain. It was good for several years. I haven’t asked for another, it’s manageable and I have heard Doctors aren’t giving them any more but I think it’s worth asking.
  2. It’s amazing he has lived this long. A great musician but he did rather dabble too much in the drug culture of the 60’s & 70’s. Byrds and CS&N were 2 pioneering bands.
  3. I suggest you look at a few more of her YouTube videos. She is a really excellent bass player and it is her band so she can play what she likes, and does.
  4. Resurrection Shuffle - Aston Gardener and Dyke. (Why do they sound like a firm of solicitors?)
  5. Or……. Sell them both and buy something new which will become your next “can’t put down”. 🤔🤣
  6. If it’s a new instrument then the va due for insurance purposes is the purchase price. If something happens to it at present you will want a new one as replacement. A few years down the line y ou may need to think about second hand values but now.
  7. My last acquisition was in 2022; but was only a trade, one out for one in. So this year I can’t think of anything I either want or need - unless…….
  8. Snaking all over - Johnny Kidd & the Pirates
  9. My son in law stupidly bought an Aston Martin, which thankfully he has now sold. I was ever so underwhelmed by it, so what costs a fortune and plays much the same as any other bass? The Wal Scott Devine recently payed £20k for that was used on Band Aid’s record.
  10. Slip slidin’ away - Paul Simon ( & the other geezer)
  11. Re: Red silks, used by Olympia (if that helps).
  12. Sounds terrible and will finish off many speakers.👎
  13. Oh so it is. Thanks Clarky I don’t think I’ve ever noticed the reverse on any and I’ve been looking at ‘em a long time. 🤣
  14. Isn’t the headstock round the wrong way or is that avoiding some sort of copyright/ TM thing?
  15. I have the film on DVD one of my all time favourites and I like the sequel Blues Brothers 2000 where John Goodman shows he’s no slouch in the vocal stakes. Then there was the tour, vocals by one unknown instead of Ackroyd and Eddie Floyd of Knock on Wood fame who was a gas. The band was pretty much all of them, Cropper, Dunn, Murphy etc who were amazing and clearly having a lot of fun playing together live. it was at the Festival Hall which was a bit posh for them really, there’s no chicken wire over the front of the stage!
  16. Behringer Bass V-Amp straight into PA via a DI box and 2nd output into small amp so I can hear. Would prefer to use headphones but we’re not set up for that at present.
  17. Green Onions - Booker T & the MGs. (Do instrumentals count?)
  18. Is she really going out with him? Joe Jackson
