I sacked the same band twice.They carried on playing without me their "ballads". The reason I sacked them is because the songs were about 10-12 mins long with endless guitar solos and about 8 riff changes. They never considered my compositions.

Whenever I record bass i add a bit of an overdrive.Just enough to cut through the mix.The overdrive is not noticeable in mix only when the bass is played hard on its own. It acts mire like a booster. To answer your question. Flats sounds awesome with overdrive.

Id love to go down to one bass but all three are used for different styles of playing. The keeper is barely used at the moment.

The band name totally matches the music. Some of it can be repetitive and too long just like post Iron Maiden songs.

It's not about offering. They accept the purchase and the item automatically shows as sold. They arrange to pick up so I get it ready for them, clean it if need be and they do not show up. Hate it....

I have been using a site called Schpock for about a year to buy and sell various items.Mainly items that collect dust in garage, loft or items I have no longer use for.I've picked up a nice accoustic guitar and an LP Epiphone. What frustrates me that often people agree to buy arrange to collect and they do not show up. Often they come up with the same excuse. When they re arrange to collect....they fail again and ignore the messages. Really gets me when someone is unreliable.

Very nice. I've picked up a Korean Epiphone gold top. Plays and feels superb.

I added a bit of distortion during recording to help cut through. The issue I see with mixing is that bass might sound good with drums but not guitars. When I the adjust the EQ to sit with guitars it then doesn't sit with drums. Etc.
