  1. True and mail put through letter box, but this thread is not about being totally sterile
  2. Mine would be the sparkle blue Steve Harris signature. It's easy to wipe down the lacquered and stainless steel surface. I'd Run to the Hills with it.
  3. If you had to pick one bass to play during self isolation , which one would you choose and why.
  4. A pair of guitar strap locks And bass strings I can't been remember what make, they are somewhere in a box.
  5. I self isolate in a pub, there is table of three eating then me necking down Ales.
  6. Sounds like the songs have punk edge to them. Nice melodies , bet lyrics are great too. Most of my written songs are a cross between punk and something else. I don't even listen to punk, now that I started singing ish, there are some dozens of lyrics to be written..... I wish some of my songs were written in lower keys.
  7. I prefered 2 Comm Elle....
  8. .wish I saw that era too
  9. Yep I had 100% feedback accumulated through years. My ex pink torpedos up when no longer together and e bay gives no stinky poo.
  10. Don't like eBay, they banned from selling because my ex had a dispute and previously I had an item delivered to her address so they linked me. The dispute she had was months after we've split up. As for the OP , have you tried selling bin Schpock?
  11. Here is my contribution All instruments, vocals and sounds (apart from Ez Drummer ) played , recorded etc by me. The power tool sounds and other effects recorded with my phone then converted to wav etc. Hope not too noisey.
  12. Every Saturday the drummer had to leave half way through the rehearsal saying he needed to attend a family gathering.
  13. Does it work with flats or rounds? ...and, most importantly, is it good for metal?
  14. Both, I play more guitar but better at bass IMHO.
  15. Stop stealing my ideas!😋
  16. Old dear I meant, bloody fat fingers😂 Might have been venison escaping from the butcher's 😋
  17. I went to the corner shop last Thursday, the shop assistant coughed in my direction as he served me at the till facing me. He was only about 3-4 feet away. Didn't even cover up his gob. Friday, I am pushing a trolley in the supermarket. An old deer passes by to my left , she coughs without covering up mouth. To the OP, it's not accelerating eh? 23 cases in UK on Saturday, 36 Sunday. These are only known figures.
  18. Done , lyrics written just need singing it again, 🙄not sure how I'm gonna do it this time
  19. Well done all, all winners
  20. The best ( homemade) recorded bass sound I had was a combination of Di and mic up bass. Three- four tracks, each track differently eq d to get an array of frequecies and a touch of distortion. I don't have experience with 10 inch speakers but pressure they sound more mid range? I think bass is such a complex sound to get it sit in the mix.
  21. Not as straight forward as this then
  22. How did the recording go?
  23. I've learned the Maiden bass lines from Live After Death tape. The tape was played daily sometimes 3 times, the songs I learned several times over. Sigh....good all days. I never forget the sound of the Piece of Mind and Powerslave LP, best sounding to my opinion.
  24. She is very talented player. I was talented when I started as 15, playing early Maiden songs on a bass. I was also commited but was in the wrong place in the wrong time.
  25. I normally read general discussion so missed this thread. I've used Ableton live lite for years before upgrading to standard. Never really used other DAW before. I've struggled myself as it was all new to me, but now love it. I've used online free lesson to use the basics of Ableton and with practice it was getting better. It's geared towards electronic music but I mostly record rock and heavier stuff. If you're into electronic music Ableton does wonders, I've never explored it but there are tons of free lessons on YouTube. I think self learn / free lessons can save you money. Give me a shout big you need help, if I can I will.
